I Have Been Stuck On "The Cypher" For Over An Hour
I've googled, to no avail. My pawns keep saying there's a courier by the fountian, but there never is, I've stayed there for a while and moved around as well. I've talked to the farmer and the forger as well. I really odn't know what I'm supposed to do.

IIRC You're supposed to talk to the guy sitting at the back of the Inn in Gran Soren :)

Hmm, ♥♥♥♥, I've never had trouble with the quest so I don't remember. Make sure you track it in the Quest menu, then check your map, should tell you where to go tbh.

Yeah we had the same issue when me and my friend were streaming the game. The courier didn't show up until we went out the main gate, killed some Oxen and went back...then he came in after us (or he at least came from the main gate)

Do you mean the Venery? Well either way I'm still not noticing him sadly.

Must be mistaken with something else words, but yeah Venery. Yeah, he's annoying though, you might want to try Strict method, go outside do something abit then come in

He was unmarked on the map for me and plowing the farmland within Gran Soren. He tells you to go to the Black Cat shop who tells you to go to Hillfigure Knoll.

Again, already talked to both.

ALSO. I left the city and now my pawns are sayign to go to Hillfigure Knoll, but the quest markers sitll tell me to go back into the city.

EDIT: And outside the city, my pawn is still telling me to look for the Courier....

That's because your Pawns have probably done the quest and know about it :) You know you can just go to Hillfigure Knoll, the quest will progress naturally from there. You don't have to jump through arbitrary hoops.

Well just to the north, then, no quest marker though.

If you stress right now, just go Hillfigure Knoll directly and meet person there.

It was weird for me as well. I'm running all over the castle looking for people with that red indicator over their heads, and suddenly a waypoint pops on my map, I talk to the guy, and the quest updates.
