From a Different Sky
Is there any point these quests run out or are they good to the end of the game? I was planning on doing them until they stopped showing up but...well apparantely they just keep coming. So now I'm worried about whether continuing the main quest will cancel some of them like it does other quests. So does it, or can they be completed anytime before the end of the game?

I think they stop at 100 iirc

as far as I know there is one at the begin, Just after you cut of the hydra's head at the encampment. The vilage chief back at the fishing vilage asks you to find your cousin. Forgot what the mission was called that will make that quest fail, but it was something with 'into the abyss'.

Now that pawn rental rewards are working again, I'm not sure I'd bother with them. You shouldn't be THAT hard up for rift crystals.

Anyway if they act like other bulletin board quests, they shouldn't expire, but depending on where the quest pick-ups for them are, some of them may become physically inaccessible later on.

There's a 100 badges to collect, each badge is a "Quest", you can only have 6 active at any time, some badges require specific classes or abilities to reach, some badges can only be gotten during certain quests or timeframe, badges stay in your inv and carry on to NG+.

If you plan to play multiple playthroughs, complete all 100 and save the badges. Each time you start a new playthrough, add all 100 badges to your inventory and complete all 100 quests instantly at the board. 200,000 RC + effortless EXP boost early each playthrough.

for me this quest stops at 5, because i cannot reach the roof.

Back in the day, you could buy Rift Crystals with real money. You also got like what, 90 RC for killing Grigori, the final boss - which is a rather paltry sum for a game ending event. When inclination elixirs cost 250 RC and there was a bunch of other stuff that cost you up to 150K RC to buy as well. Before Dark Arisen came along and added an augment that makes enemies drop 100 RC frequently and also had RC drops everywhere for easy (albeit slow) farming, etc.

There was a bit of a demand for players who play offline to be able to get some RC of their own and I guess this DLC pack (bundled with the Dark Arisen I.E PC version by default) was the answer to that.

The reward for that quest, and collecting all 100 badges, adds up to a lot of RC. You can also keep the badges and whack out all the quests repeatedly in subsequent NG+ playthroughs to rapidly gain RC if you wanted - you could probably even use the hard mode reset trick to do it as often as you needed until you were an RC millionaire or whatever.

If you ask someone nicely, or simply get lucky with your pawn being hired, you can get boatloads of RC from them, especially if someone drags them through Bitterblack Isle.

Basically there's not a lot of point in doing them at this point other than for the fun of it, if you like to feel like you've done everything the game has to offer, or something like that. I have no idea if the quests fail at any point based on main quest progress like other side quests, but I doubt it. They're not "true" side quests as the game might recognise them, more akin to an "opportunity" or a "contract" or whatever you want to call it, like all noticeboard quests. They'll probably all fail when you finish the main quest for obvious reasons, though.

Some of them might not even become available to accept until you make enough progress down the main quest anyway, actually.

Seriously? Just because you go a slightly different way up to the top of the great wall, there will be a cutscene and you will no longer be able to access 39 and 40? WTF!!!

It is said all these quests are from a DLC package back in the days.

To me, I got 1M + RC so not really worrier about.

But here's something: you can gain your vocation points by completing different quests, so that maybe your point to do all these. Just a thought.

To add a personal take on these quests, I liked trotting around the world, seeing all the odd places they put these badges, ranging from "well here's this rooftop I already climbed before" to "holy cow this place can be accessed?", and even though the novelty wears off after you get all of them, I'd still say it's worth to do them all on your own.

I do wish you could take more than six instances of the quests at once, though. Having to go back to the Pawn Guild every time in order to stock up on six more is also quite annoying, though I guess I can see the point in kind of limiting how much you have in hands so you don't feel overwhelmed (maybe it would have sufficed to allow you to gather new From a Different Sky quests from any notice board, perhaps by adding a new tab dedicated to them, accessed by tapping R1/L1).
