Instant killed an ogre.
Was under the pawn bank, ever.. somewhere. Climbed onto ogre, fighter charged him and he fell off ledge. Killed it outright. I got a level up and survived. Do big critters all die from fall damage or is this just a lucky instance?

They all die from fall damage but there are about 3 places in the game where big monsters spawn, that can fall off a ledge.

It can be lucky, you can also bait him to fall off, its a viable strategy.

Ha, the same thing happened to me except I was holding onto the ogre's back while it fell. Lucky I didn't die.

That's actually the strategy I used when I fought my first ogre in the Everfall
I set myself up near the edge, waited for him to run towards me and attack, then broad slashed his legs 'til that sucker went toppling. Satisfaction GUARANTEED!

There is one enemy that is especially weak to fall damage. Only way I know how to solo it is to lure it up stairs and off the ledge. It's very late in the game though.

They die yes, but more often than not that means you'll lose the loot.

I've had a cyclops kill all 3 of my pawns near a ledge tho, he got stunned and fell to his knees, then my pawns apparently thought it was their chance to shine and decided to attack him, next second he flails his arms and hits all 3 of them, throwing them off the ledge.
the best is in BBI using gicel to make elder ogres fall off and net like 50000 exp :D

This is totally how you're supposed to kill the first mf Ogre you meet ;)

If i remember right tricking ogres to run off ledges is something you can teach your pawn to do. Though I could be remembering this wrong.

That sounds pretty crazy but hey, this is DD after all.

Had an Elder Ogre spawn in Fortress of Remembrance and drop kick itself off the stair near the Banshee spawn. My pawns avoided the attack, so it seems that it just longed to be taken by the Brine. What an entertaining fellow. You don't get the loot this way, but you do get the EXP when a fall winds up killing a foe.

Thats good to know i fully expected the ogre to be alive at bottom and me dead, since most games dont give fall damage to ai's

Yeah. Well fall damage here applies to everyone. You cna even grab smaller enemies and throw them off cliffs... but sadly even if you can get to the corpse you won't get any loot.
