Min/Max realy necessary ?
Most of the Guides for this game tell you something like lv 1-10 Strider, 11-200 Sorc if u want to be an Magic Archer.
Which means i would spend the entire Game NOT as the Class i wanted, all in the name of optimized Stat Growth.
How big is the Difference and can i just stay MA from Lv 10 and still deal aceptable Damage to Endbosses ? :)

Min/maxing is absolutely not needed at all. Just play what you want, when you want. Just dont play 100 levels as a warrior and be upset that you're below average at magic.

As far as I have been told, equipment bonuses far outclass any minmax attemempt. Yes, a minmaxed character would still do more damage, but it's nor really necessary to enjoy the game.

check guides > classes for Augments and Stat Growth Reference Guide
Scroll down a bit for a nice overview on the differences

I would suggest at least maxing the vocations you want all the augments for (which is what I am doing). 200 levels of not playing what I want doesn't sound like fun to me either :D

Min/max-ing is more for people that want to one-shot stuff or otherwise break the game using in-game mechanics. You can still be a good MA with the right gear and augments (in that case, you'd probably spend some time in the mage classes anyway).

Same goes for any class; you obviously won't be the best Sorcerer if you spent all levels in Warrior but gear can matter a lot in how powerful you'll wind up being.

You could be a fighter for 200 levels, go to mage, and still do good damage.

If you only plan on doing one or a limited number of playthroughs just forget min/maxing altogether. You could technically go from 1-100 switching to a different class every 10 levels and end up with a quite balanced build that would do well as any role. I'll also mention that you should not underestimate consumable items.

However, playing as a MA the whole time will give you most Magic Defense, which is very helpful

No. Just be careful who you take build advice from. The best source is usually from YouTube videos as you see the skill level of the person you are dealing with. If you aren't playing the class you want to play by level 55, something is wrong. The only reason you start and play as other vocations is to balance out your stats a certain way.
