But thats just my two cents, i dont have any clue.
the word is used a lot in medieval english, which is the theme they were going for. i am just glad we can finally gag our pawns as that was far worse when you are on your 8th playthrough
I just started the game, so sounds about right. Hopefully it does stop later on lol
I would suggest you turn off pawn chatter in the options menu. Will save you a lot of pain in the future when you go for long walks.

The use of 'pray' from the 'ask earnestly' sense comes from the french 'peier', which stems from the french takover of england way back when. That word, in turn, comes from precari, which has a similar meaning in latin (from Rome).
It's only later that the term comes to mean to exclusively ask of a god.
Kind of makes sense from a the perspective of a time when "lord" meant your local land manager.
Here's a tip - replace any words you don't like mentally with the word 'dude' - it almost always works.
Now, if you're objecting, because to you, prayer is your special relationship with your favorite diety, and you'd rather anyone else not use that word... then really, dude, you've got to get over that. Everyone believes differently, if they believe at all, and you're going to have a REALLY hard time imposing your own precious personal views on everyone else and expect them to respect that.
......they're masterworks, all.
It Ill-likes prays!
