Can you switch from Hard to Normal back to Hard to restart the game?
What the title says... Don't want to get locked out of Hard Mode with my Lvl 20 character...

Thx for any help.

No, once you switch back to normal mode, you are stuck there until you beat the game.
No you can't. Once you start your new game in hard mode, never ever switch it back to normal.

Wellllll ♥♥♥♥ me then.. hahaha--- did the same mistake missing out on Lost and Found like I did back in the 360 version, dammit.

There is no known console command or anything to fix the bug with Adaro where you can't finish the Lost and Found quest right..?

Adaro doesn't let me finish the quest cos i Ferrystone'd out of the Pawn Guild as to not trigger the cancellation of the quest.. but apparently the game still cancels the quest anyway -_-

Um you can switch back and forth anytime.
Normal to Hard - on the main menu
Hard to Normal - under options, gameplay, scroll down

Nope, it's greyed out. There is no way you can change it back to hard from normal.

Have you tried getting killed? It definitely let you change it then on the XBOX, but of course they could have changed it in this version.
Thats weird, i was able to do this at the beginning to change my char appearance.

Yeah I can change to Normal mode easily by getting killed but can I then change back to Hard, so as to restart the game?

Switching from Normal/Easy to Hard restarts the game with equipment intact. But if I can never go back to Hard when switching to Normal I'd rather wait till NG+

fakin Adaro and Quina hardcore trolling me again, damn

I assume then this is made so as to only be able to change exactly ONCE to hard mode per playthrough? Kinda dumb but who cares lol
The real problems of that quest are those bandits and wolves. Bandit with sword/shield has super armor and can always counter you to death in hard mode. Try doing this quest when you are around lv20.

Yeah did it while like lvl 17 but alas it wasn't of any use since I did the Lure of the Abyss prior to it and Adaro is bugged for the rest of the game... He's stuck with the dialogue that gets triggered by going to Gran Soren instead of letting me report what happened to Quina.

You definitely can. Not sure what people are on about here. If you started the game on hard, pull up the options menu and lower it down to normal or easy, from here save and quit to the title screen where you can choose Hard again which will restart the game, keeping your character and level, but putting you back the very beginning in Cassardis with a new hard mode game.

I actually did start on Normal and then switched to Hard. Do you know if that affects this in any way? Anyway I'll just play through NG with the bugged questline.. Will try to make due in NG+

Thanks for any help tho
Doesn't matter what you started on, no. If you lower the level to normal and go back to the main menu, you can select Hard again indefinitely. Nothing will lock you out of starting a Hard mode game short of already being on Hard mode.

Also, if all you're trying to do is Lost and Found, just wait for NG+ or if you're trying for the Hero achievement, just make sure to do it BEFORE going to the pawn guild entirely.
