Cant 'fire' spells ?

Im playing a mage and have 4 spells, the fireball one charges then I just walk around slowly and cant fire. I can target stuff, get a free aim with shift but it wont shoot no matter what! I have to hit space to cancel. Same for the heal and others although the lightnigh autocasts in front of me,
Anyone have any idea whats going on ?

do you hold the button? it should fire automaticly when you are targetting a enemy and once it finished casting. if you are holding the cast button or there is no enemy targeted then it wont fire (slow walking with spell ready)

This is with enemies targetted. I just walk slow until I jump to cancel or something hits me.

Something is wrong with the "X" button for controllers at least (for a bunch of us). Once you get to a skill trainer you can move your skills to Y or A and they will work.

Somebody else had some success rebooting his computer / unplugging his controller, but that doesn't work for everybody.

Just to confirm, you are releasing all the buttons you're holding, yes?

So you are holding control and then left click, you then release control and continue to hold left click and then release it when fully charged and nothing happens? Have you tried this on other vocations as well?

Belive me I have tried every possible combination. The spells were working perfectly at first also, casted first time every time. Now after a save and exit and re-load in nothing works except the lightning spell.
I have rebound keys multiple times and reset to defaults. Nothing. Never had a controller and like I said, the spells worked fine the first hour or so I played.

Somebody else mentioned that restarting Steam fixed it for them, and you just said restarting the game affected it.

I'm not saying it's a solution, but perhaps that'll help until there's a fix.

The only other advice I can give you right now is a stretch, and that's that Fighter has no charge attacks, as far as I'm aware.

Same thing happening to my roommate - he can't cast any spells - it channels and then is stuck - press whatever you like, hold whatever you like - it won't cast, you can only cancel it by jumping. Glad I didn't buy this now :((

Restarting steam and my computer fixed it for me, so try that if you haven't already
