It respawns in one of the fish spots at the river crossing where there is a bunch of sulfur saurians, left side of the road on the way to the female bandits.

Quest item and an upgrade material, but I believe it only upgrades the Bandit Mask.

just fart around along the river north of town...I ended up with 3 of them without noticing. ... ... ...but yeah, it is stupid rare and totally worth it to just make a forgery of it. (I never let items go below 1...always forge a couple backups.

It's also randomly found in chests of BBI.

I never beat this game on console, but between 360 and now PC I've got about 100 hours in this game and until the last 2 days I had NEVER once found a snakeskin purse. I found 2 within a few hours of each other in BBI the other day lol. I've went to the wiki and went to fishing spots where they are supposed to spawn, but never had any luck.

If you get the quest, when you pull fish from the river at a couple spots, the snakeskin purse is guaranteed, at least one time. If you have never gotten it, then you didn't try and do the quest.

As well as just by luck alone you proabably could have gotten a drop at least once.

I've had the quest every single time lol..and no, there is no spot where it's guaranteed.

You can get more than one. There are a few fixed locations with respawns throughout Gransys as well as random chest rewards in BBI. The river running through Cursewood is arguably most convenient, though; stay on the main road, turn right and follow the river after the crossing. It's at a bankside gathering spot where the sulfur suarians are.

This is the spot I farmed the most, but never got one to drop for me. Eventually I just gave up on it, but now that I've got some it doesn't even matter lol.
