I stand corrected; sometimes, it's still in my bags, and other times it sits on the ground before me.

But I do have a question about setting waypoints: can I use the waypoint stone infinitely, or does it vanish when I return there?

Regular Ferrystones disappear after being used once, but Eternal Ferrystones can be used as many times as you like.

Up to 10 Portcrystals can be placed on the map. It will never disappear. Once placed, it will remain placed even if you enter NG+.

And can I pick up a Portcrystal again and put it somewhere else? Or remove a point altogether to allow the creation of a Portalpoint elsewhere?

Yes, you can relocate them.

Note: Regular Ferrystones that disappear after one use can still be found. Also, you may sometimes find them on Pawns as it appears they'll sometimes be generated on the ground the first time they are Ferried to a new location. (Dunno why)

I also learned that I can buy Ferrystones at the Black Cat for 2k gold each. But now, I have this Eternal one, so it seems that I don't need to purchase them anymore.

I intend to duplicate the Portstone at the Black Cat, if it's not all too expensive. Atm, I have only one of those yet.

You will max out on portcrystals by your 2. playthrough. Simply play the main quests and you'll be fine ( they respawn each playthrough )

In the original game, you only had Ferrystones that disappeared after use. But Dark Arisen gives you the eternal ferrystone, so now all the ones you find are basically pointless.

FYI, the reason you're finding one "on the ground" is probably because one spawns in Gran Soren at the port crystal there every couple of days.

Eternal Ferrystone was added after the game became Dark Arisen, so selling Ferrystone in Black Cat is a relic of the past.

Port crystals cannot be duplicated, so you can usually only get 5 in the first round.
To make it to 10, you can either get it from a friend or sell it at Black Cat in the second round.

In fact, I visited The Black Cat yesterday. He would have duplicated it for me, but he asked 300k gold for it.

so far, I got only a single one (I'm lv. 39 atm).

You can't use the duplicated one... you were fooled by Black Cat ^^;

From the second round, you can buy it for 20kG.

Oh, thanks for the warning! Good thing that I didn't have the gold at the time, then!

Port crystals can be found at the bottom of The Everfall, inside the Shrine of Hillfigure Knoll, inside the prison of The Shadow Fort, in the secret passageway of The Witchwood (accessible through the quest Witch Hunt), and on the top floor of The Bluemoon Tower.

I have a problem with the verfall, though; the worms never stop coming.

I don't know how to conclude the fight there.

In Everfall you need to run to the entrance....or use ferrystone ))

That's right, when the tentacles appear, either run to the entrance and escape, or use Ferrystone to fly to Gran Soren.
