Will Hard/SpeedRun mode overwrite my NG+ save data?
I finished the game once and want to do all the achievements; can I start Hard/Speed Run modes separately, or will they overwrite the NG+ file?

Hard mode is one of NG+.
HARD: Overwrite
SpeedRun: Do not overwrite

Hard mode restarts the story from the beginning. However, from hard mode to normal mode, the story remains the same, but only the difficulty level changes.

Even if you end SpeedRun, the equipment, items, experience points, etc. you obtained will not be carried over.

Oh, so If I load my clear save file it will start Hard Mode?

If the first round is normal mode, load the second round and the story will start in normal mode, so you can meet the dragon at the beach of Cassardis and use Vocation.
When you select , go back to the title menu and select Hard Mode Challenge to start again from the beginning.

Speedrun Mode has a quirk where it sets your main save to Normal Mode if it was currently on Hard.

Oh, yes.
It's best to try it after finishing hard mode and unlocking the achievements.

Hardmode resets your story progression while keeping everything you already earned on your save. It's like an "early NG+"

Speedrun mode doesnt save anything on your save, at least not untill you complete it (you cant save during a speedrun too).
Once you complete it all it does is add the reward for completing it to your bank.

So even if you used consummable, threw away/sold anything (gear, consummable, quest items, etc...), changed pawns or change portcrystals location (they will be where you left them in your normal run) during a speedrun, everything will stay unchanged in your other mode.

You can go in speedrun mode anytime, this will have no effect on your progression or difficulty setting. The difficulty in Speedrun mode is on normal.
Thanks for the clarifications, everyone
