HARD: Overwrite
SpeedRun: Do not overwrite
Hard mode restarts the story from the beginning. However, from hard mode to normal mode, the story remains the same, but only the difficulty level changes.
Even if you end SpeedRun, the equipment, items, experience points, etc. you obtained will not be carried over.
When you select , go back to the title menu and select Hard Mode Challenge to start again from the beginning.
It's best to try it after finishing hard mode and unlocking the achievements.
Speedrun mode doesnt save anything on your save, at least not untill you complete it (you cant save during a speedrun too).
Once you complete it all it does is add the reward for completing it to your bank.
So even if you used consummable, threw away/sold anything (gear, consummable, quest items, etc...), changed pawns or change portcrystals location (they will be where you left them in your normal run) during a speedrun, everything will stay unchanged in your other mode.
You can go in speedrun mode anytime, this will have no effect on your progression or difficulty setting. The difficulty in Speedrun mode is on normal.
