Stuck on secret admirer Quest
It seems this quest is infamous, but i could not find a topic on the steam forems. I am tring to complete this quest, but the quest giver and her minions attack me on sight. when i looked it up i read to buy a dress from Medelene. However they are gender locked and i can not wear them. i read to physicaly change gender. but then right after it was pointed out that will not work if you started as a male character. Read to buy the yellow hood, but even with a gold idol Madalene does not sell a yellow hood. i also read to do other peoples quests, but they just tell me to ♥♥♥♥ off

any ideas?

If you're playing as a male, you can't do this quest, as Ophis hates men, and will attack you on sight

i see it written everywhere that you can do this as male, but they refrence items that i can't wear. did they change the game in DA so that men can't cross dress?

so how do i remove this from the quest log then.

Just buy the 'ladys garb' from the black cat, equip the males with it and your good to go.

Buy the Lady's Garb from the Black Cat guy. Monteblack? Monteblank? Wearing that should allow you to pass through without her attacking you, iirc.

And dressing a male with the "ladys garb" nets you The Queens Regalia cheevo ;)

ok i finished it, i tried to go back and i saved before talking to Olphis. she attacked me outright and the game crashed. Then after loading it back up she didnt. i don't know what even...

For future reference, the conditions for doing this quest as a male are:
Wear a lady's garb (bought at the black cat)
Do not have facial hair (you can remove it at the barber)
Have only female pawns (if you have a male primary, you'll need to throw him off a cliff somewhere)
Do not have maul's badge in your inventory

Right, the facial hair was being problematic for my pawn :P

Or just wear a dress.

I think the lady's garb dress outfit was good enough for my pawn and myself; though my helper pawns being ladies already seemed to be better than taking along male helper ones.

I Know this post is old but I'm currently playing Dragon's Dogma in 2024 and can confirm your method worked perfectly for me playing my campaign as a male

I would like to mention though that having Maul's badge in your inventory doesn't affect the questline towards getting Ophis' badge as that would be something the NPC can't phisically see on you anyway. I managed to complete the quest while having Maul's badge in my inventory and it all turned out fine for me.
