Choosing the right skills...
so this is a good problem to have in a game, too many good choices!
i am playing a strider and have all the abilityies.right now i am running:"

hundred kisses, instant reset, and implicate.

up to now i never used hundred kisses because i thought that the standard light combo did the same thing not knowing that hundred kisses was really ment for grapple fighting (didnt know it could be used in a grapple). and in its place i used cutting wind, which allowed me to skate all over the battlefeild. after replacing it i feel so slow, and cant persue as well.

Instant reset is invauable to keep me from taking chain damage, returning to the fight faster, and other nice uses (lighing lantern).

Implicate i use as a stun/hold/turtle counter

what are your thoughts as for replacing what skill and reasons for them?

hundred kisses is good fun when you're clinging onto stuff and chopping away. Besides that I haven't gotten the hang of daggers in regular combat. Seems stuff manages to back out of reach too easily while i'm spinning & chopping at air.

that exactly why i want to use cutting wind. its a lot like the omnislash from kindom hearts, where you rush (farther then mad dash) onto a snapped target with great tracking, and if you keep pressing the skill button you keep dashing thrugh the taget usually stunning them in the process and doing (un)heathy amounts of damage.

i decided to take out Implicate, as i figure that i can use cutting wind in the same situations that implicate would be used, though i did have lots of fun instant killing eveything in bitter black with my implicate and throw into brine tactik, lol.

i am still interested in what everyone elese thinks

My thoughts: Use what you're comfortable with. Don't bother thinking of what's the best if you don't like to use those abilities.

As for hundred kisses, it's really useful against high hp enemies that you can easily stagger, just keep pressing the button and they'll eventually fall.

The class-specific skills tend to be more powerful than any skill shared between classes. They provide some utility or damage you can't get by taking the basic ones.

I like to keep helm/skull/brain spliter on my Strider or pawn strider. With the added damage from the 'eminence' aug it's a lot of fun to use. Try the soaring stone into brain splitter combo for even more laughs.

the problem with that is you give up a lot of mobility for a jump centric build, but i may have to give it a wirl anyway.

When i'm leveling up a vocation, i go out of my way to get and try every single skill, and i use the ones i like, and whats practical. take the fighters uppward slash(might be called sumthing else) thats a great skill, but for enemies in the air, im currently at a spot that has no flyers, so i dont have that skill on. and many skills i dont use, i know that they do have a use at certain times, just not 24/7 so try them all :D

well there are a sizeable amount of skill that i can't see any point in. Like skills that are only to cause poisen, i never under stood poisen. i inflict it and the HP bar flashes, but dosent actully tick down. Now poisen may be more effective on the fodder, but then why have a skill that gives 1 taget poisen, when i could just shoot it?
Candy Witch Mar 9, 2016 @ 6:51pm
Poison is really bad in this game. It inflicts 20 HP per second. For the sake of example, a Goblin has 1,000 HP, and a Chimera has 30,000 HP.

Yes, that's how worthless Poison is.

seriously? i thought it was some infinitecimal small % of hp. but that is a million times worse and not usefull even for a level 1 killing seagulls 0-0. i am throwing all my poisen arrows away right now! i have sooo many vials of poisen clogging my stores! that stuff is everywhere
