I have never tried running away from him ! I might do it next time to see what happens ☺
Still some nice gear sold by that Vendor. I rather like the Gryphic set myself.
I jump on his nose and biff him - seems to get his attention ☺
I am not sure what it says about me that I keep attacking a dragon with basically a stick, knowing I am going to lose ☺ I might try one of these other approaches next time.
This game, is great to play in this manner I think - a lot of games are imo, though. I modded the graphics a little bit too, so it looks just a tad prettier, and ... it still manages to be pretty darn breathtaking - artistic style trumps pure graphical bells and whistles any day. It's what sets games that stand the test of time from the ones that don't.
What I mean by 'how I would in real life" I also mean that I won't always immediately go to the sidequests and start them, nor will I accept EVERY quest I can before setting out. If the quests are from the board, I'm likely to take 'em all. If they're from people? One, maybe two if they would make sense to take together - but when I play games I ain't really interested in "saving time". Time is hella limited in life... yes... but I enjoy games like this far less when I get into the habit of just... going point A to point B on the map, and running past all the fine details etc - this game is FULL of those. Wonderful even without modified graphics, too - but they don't hurt ;) ...usually.
I'm the type of gamer you see just walking around towns and other maps in games like FFXIV, just ...lookin cool and enjoying the sights.
The only problem with playing "naturally" is that... if there are missable sidequests... well, it's really horrible to realize you missed out because you didn't take something right away - not sure if this game has those, but I assume it probably has at least a couple....
