Depends on the boss.
a LOT.

some bosses are easier with heavy damage ground vocations, like Fighter, and some are easily out of reach like dragons so ranged/magick is handy.

it also greatly depends on your playing style.

I personally think it would be mystic knight due to their versatility.

good choice, they are strong against any type of boss because of their enchantments and great cannon.

Hardly matters, if you have the right pawn combination.
Late late game (true BBI), which is the real test of any build - I would say is a tossup between Assasin/Ranger Periapt+Blast or Magic Archer.

All physical builds fail against the Living Armor but that's where sorcerer pawns come in handy. I would think either MA or Sorcerer (with some clever tactics).

Magic Archer is easily the most useful class I have found.

Physical dagger stabby stabby, And Magical Pew pew. Has the range of both damage types you need to handle pretty much whatever is thrown at you.

provided you have the gear.

Yeah but you need to make sure to have the Enchant the enemy is weak against to do any major damage, plus you need time to cast your enchantments as well. I'd say overall the Assassin as they have access to 3 different weapon sets so if you have elemental weapons of one kind you can switch to them to use, they have high attack, usually enough to break the Defense threshold of most enemies easily. They can climb and with a Shield they can have strong defenses at a moments notice just by switching.

Use magic enchanted weaponry?

Planning out your enchant tree isn't that hard though. Fire for base game and holy for BBI(Except dark bishop.) Then add abyssal anguish and you should be fine. The cast time isn't really slow for mystic knight either, I've casted enchants while agro'ing Daimon before. At worst you will have to cancel it with a block then resume casting after wards. As for assassin, they only really should ever be using daggers and bows. If they are using swords or shields they aren't reaching their full potential.(Can't dodge or double jump without using daggers last time I checked.)

Yeah, I think Magic Archer is just the best class in the game. I would actually put Assassin as second as long as you have a pawn for magic, and then Mystic Knight third. Without a pawn, Mystic Knight is an easy second.

I have trouble with Magic Archer against Ur-Dragon, and I don't have trouble against Living Armor with Assassin or Ranger.

I'd used to answer with one of the Hybrid vocations, but now that I've been playing a lot of Sorcerer, it's so easy to kill bosses with this vocation that it's ridiculous. Mind-numbingly easy, in fact.

There's only two enemies that are fully immune to magic damage... Golem and Metal Golem. You can punch their magick discs to death, or use Gicel on them if you can't reach them. Just takes longer than all the bosses that you can nuke in anything under a minute with the right amount of Magick, and enchanted Focused Bolts. Bolts cost no stamina, can charge while you run and jump to dodge things, and home in on enemies.

On xbox 360 I used magick archer for bosses. On PC I'm not very far and only play sorcerer now.
For physical damage, stider>>>>assassin
brain splitter, soaring stone, eminence, hailstorm volley, fastest climber of all rogue classes
you name it

It depends so much on bosses but form own personal experience, on hard:

Death = assassin in one summons (blast arrows+harness+fivefold bolt)
Daimon = assassin at under 20 seconds (blast arrows+harness+fivefold bolt)
Garm = assassin at 5 seconds (blast arrows+harness+fivefold bolt)
Elder ogre = Magick archer (closed space with ricochet hunter or sorcerer with one maelstrom and time to cast)
Cursed dragon = Mystic knight at 1 second (set up cannons, summon then perfect block)
Other dragonkin = assassin (blast arrows again) though vs fire drakes Magick archer's ninefold works wonders
Condemed Cyclops + Magick archer (three ninefold bolts) or sorcerer (two maelstroms)
Eliminators = Magick archer (single ninefold bolt)
Living armour = Magick archer (two ninefold bolts)
Griffon = assassin at 5 seconds (blast arrows+harness+fivefold bolt)

For killing multiple bosses at the same time then I would say sorcerer with maelstrom.

As folk above have said I think magick archer is the overall best for a lot of the smaller bosses in BBI but the most common farm bosses late game are cursed dragons, daimon and death and for that I would say assassin.

Also these are just figures for what may be fastest, not best as in most fun which could possibly be the complete opposite.
