If you think it's too boring and like casting spells, use your fastest casting spells, and if you don't like using the basic spells and love to wreck havoc en masse, try to get knockdown resistance up to 100%, get a wyrmring and articulacy.
A good starting set to reach 100% stagger and knockdown res are the baron clothes, just beat Grigori in hard mode and you'll get them, you'll have dragon forge them tho. If you can't goldforge them yet then use Ogre Bones.
There are your options for all your tastes. Sorcerers can kill monsters the quickest end game, its all about gear, so dont despair and GANBATTE!!
You need Voidspell if you don't resist Petrify and Defense Down.
Fulmination wrecks many of the difficult enemies. Eliminators, Living Armours, Elder Ogres...
Miasma becomes incredibly powerful with BBI gear also.
How is your Sorcerer set up? I don't understand how you can come to this conclusion.
Skills? Augments? Inclinations?
I would argue that you can forfeit Voidspell if you don't mind to carry some potions with you, Miasma sure is nice with it's short cast time, but you can replace it with an all-around useful spell like Gicel too. Fulmination is definitely a must tho, it's just a stellar spell for the endgame, from BII to fighting the Ur-Dragon.
I'd recommend to make your Sorcerer a Utilitarian/Challenger, so you get the benefit of him buffing your weapon first and an inclination second that doesn't cause him to get too close to enemies that'll interrupt his spells. Scather, Guardian, etc. have a tendency to be a bit too eager to get their head smashed in.
Most importantly, imho, would be to make sure you get possession resistance to 100% asap for BBI, and only hire pawns that have that too. Nothing worse than having an intense fight with a Frostwyrm and a Firedrake just to get wrecked by your own possessed pawns.
Bottom line would be, if you ust take a little time to optimize your Sorcerer pawn and it'll be invalueable in BBI.
