Escort Duty doesn't trigger

I have come to a problem, I have finished land of opportunities and chasing shadows, yet, escort duty doesn't become available for me to pick, I have rested at the inn multiple times etc so I kind of start to worry..

Any advices?

If you have a Bronze Idol (to be found in Selenes Hut and at the side of the Dragonforged), dupe-er I mean make a forgery of it and gift that to Fournival. He really likes those Idol Forgeries. That should make his affinity skyrocket.

Alright, I plan to give gold idol to Madelaine and silver to the other guy, so the bronze idol can go away... And anyway I'll get the gold idol out of the quest so the bronze is useless XD

Give him forged bronze idols until his affinity rises to the "shimmer sound" tier every time you enter dialogue with him. He's an essential merchant (especially on hard mode), I just made him my beloved on one playthrough to save the trouble so now he's permanently at max affinity.

Gonna go for madeleine this playthrough though, but thanks for telliing me at which point to stop raising his affinity... I wouldn't want this greedy guy as my beloved

I think you need to do that quest.
