Why cant I create MY Character

I love this game, but I cannot create the character I actually want to play with .. Yes i understand its a single Player game, so no-one really sees me, only my Pawns.. but seriously...

I use rebound keys but Ive also tried creating a char using my xbox PC controller and nothing works as it should.. I just have to hit keys and buttons until the game churns out a char that looks like something out of a horror movie..

This time round hes got a swollen eye, a big slash scar across his face, sounds like a Smurf with a female bob hair cut, a hunch back and a peg leg., even the Pawns are laughing . I mean.. seriously capcom

Any tips Folks :)

All you need is a mouse and keyboard to navigate around Character Edit. It's not rocket science, just a bunch of checkboxes and sliders. At worst a glitch may happen that freezes mouse clicking - moving between menus with keyboard unfreezes the mouse.

tl;dr Something's off in your case.
If your system is messed up or, more likely, you use certain hacking tool, you have no one to blame but yourself.

Obviously, its glitching out because my keys are all over the place in game as well.. Ill re-roll..

No matter your controlls config, creation of a character not like from a horror movie in Dogma is as easy as 1,2,3.
Pick a gender, pick a face preset, pick a body preset. Done.
Eventually you chose one of whole character presets.

Only if you feel the need to tweak things up you modify individual parts. And you perform 100% of modifications using O, Enter and Arrow Keys. No dragging, smooth transformations, no timing required: just highlight and confirm.

I struggle to imagine a controlls config that ruins such a simple system.

probably some problem with controls as you say. the character editor is really good in this game
