Also, if You have long list of friends on Steam your game will lag horribly when You play online
- you start by searching by level and it can only display 99 search results max per search request
- then you can filter this 99 or less results by gender, Vocation and eventually skill "traits".
So of course you get less and less results. Hell, if your filters are very specific you can end up with 0 for certain levels!
On top of that is the system that will harass you, through search results, with the same group of 90something most recent Pawns uploaded to the server (which doesn't necessarily mean an hour ago).
I'll disregard this, almost, if I'm trying to help someone's pawn learn beast or quest knowledge. Though, sometimes I run to a dragon and kill it to try and dragonforge something that I believe would look better on their pawn. lol. (hopefully persuading them to equip it the next time they're in game)
I think I remember there being someway to "reset" the pawns you see around the towns (not necessarily the RIFT since it pulls in your friends or favorites first I think-- at least in my experience), but I do not remember how to do it. I'd hazard a guess you'd have to remove all your favorites-- but if you have a lot of them it'd take a while manually.
for the part i snipped, again console port.
i agree so much about high level pawn with garbage gear. this is the pain all us BBI players feel. it is so hard to find decent pawns from levels 180-200.
if anyone is interested in not suffering this, add me. atleast you dont have to worry about that with my pawn.
It has nothing to do with the game being a port and everything with the online part being cheap. And it's not even a matter of limited funds or the unfinished product, it was planned to to have all the technical limitations from the beginning, ie to base Pawn sharing on a leaderboard system on consoles.
Also, I recall ppl claiming that the original release had a user search function in the Rift.
break the game? no.
second. it is very much a console port issue. it is the same reason keybindings are hardcoded and they use the the same gamepad limitation for keyboard.
also capcom has to submit to certification so all changes have to be uniform between consoles and the PC.
so yes. console port limitation. also really? you gonna talk about people claiming there was a search function with no evidence?
BTW It has nothing to do with Friends list.
If running around Gransys with fully BBI lv.3 geared level 200 Pawn doesn't break the game then nothing does. Just sayin'.
Like, genuine PC games don't use hardcoded controlls?
I'm pretty sure that that's not how console certification works. And why would Sony get to decide what goes into the PC release?
Also, if console overlords' edicts DO affect the features present in PC version, why GOG release didn't receive latest updates to this day?
That's assuming these even exist.
