(Spoiler) mechanics of love interest and plot.
I think the title is enough for you to probably have a hunch what I want to ask about if you already know. So I wanted my character to be together with Quina. I even looked it up, and cos totally means kinsmen and she's not my cousin. But when Grigori kidnapped my love interest, it was Julian getting goblined... which is fine until I have to chose between sacrificing the kidnapped person and save the world. After I sacrifice Julian, can I go back and make quina the kidnapped lady and save her? . I know... I'm brutal but I have my reasons.

Sometimes the people of Cassardis fully say "cousin" when they talk to you, so yes, she is your cousin. Now we know what you're into (the word is incest). How is the arisen a cousin to the entire village you ask? Well... it is a small village with a small gene pool...

...Wow, that's as nasty as children supposedly being available as your "beloved".
i guess you wrote that for the lulz

knowingly that beloved just means the most important in your life.
just a funfact, if you kill everyone who can be your beloved, it will be a child from the starting sequenz that you saw only 1 time ever. the one timer will be your most important person.
devs also had to patch the game, so not everyone has the blacksmith/merchant as their beloved one.

This is why you use Liquid Effluvium. So if you notice some random blacksmith or merchant blushing and radiating a pink light around their head, give it to them so you don't end up being molested by Fournival or something in the ending.

This thing exists only in BBI. In vanilla you had to punch them in the face instead...

Both work, this is the Dark Arisen version after all. Some NPCs like Aelinore are despawned from the game when their questlines are completed, which is why a lot of people keep accidentally ending up with them as their beloved, especially since Aelinore easily reaches max affinity during her own quests.

great! thanks. After your collective assistance, I've gone and bought an effivium but it was too late, even the checkpoint already had Julian kidnapped. I wasn't able to run up to him and give him effivium. I guess this is one of the things that happens when going in blind along with mechanics I didn't understand. :) Also, the bit of teasing's fine. No harm done here.

I got the kill him achievement. I think now that I've beaten the game, I'll finish up what seem to be post game quests and do the 100% achievements. That end credits was kinda short though.. If that was the end credit. It was more of a jrpg style flashback(?) and voice actor names for a few characters.

I thought you could only get everyone up to best friends status and use the ring to make someone of your choice the beloved. It's probably because I was used to similar mechanics in other games with romance-able characters. Where you can only raise normal affection levels and then the "romance" option is gated behind a quest or item.

if you wanne 100% the game you have to atleast beat it 3 times i think.
shouldnt be so bad to play it blind

for your next playthrough, the best way to make sure you don't get someone you didn't intend to, is to just straight up murder them. use a ferrystone before you get arrested, (if you're in gran soren), and you can go back into town like nothing happened.
once they respawn, they'll never want to be near you for the majority of that playthrough.

generally, the last person you interact with that has max affinity before completing the Deny Salvation quest, will be registered as the kidnapping victim.
