Dragon's Vein VS Dragon's Pain?
Hello Arisen.
I just found the Dragon's Pain daggers in the Everfall and was wondering if there is any point in keeping them since I already have Dragon's Vein. The wiki(a) says:

Dragon's Vein:
Dragonforged damage: 696
Dragonforged Stagger/Knock: 339.

Dragon's Pain:
Dragonforged damage: 552
Dragonforged Stagger/Knock: 349

Does anyone know if this information is correct for DD:DA (esp. for the Dragon's Pain)? Thought it would be better to ask someone since the info on wikia doesn't seem to be always correct. Assuming the info is right, then there is no point keeping the Dragon's Pain, right?

Thanks in advance.

(P.S. hope this is the right forum, the other sub forums didn't seem to fit.)

Dragon weapons usually have the highest physical based damage among the vanilla weapons, so yes, the wikia is correct. Better yet, venture to Bitterblack Isle and soon you'll be wielding the Framae Blades which is the best physical based dagger around. I got them off my first purification, along with Darkening Storm which made me one happy Assassin.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that since you can obtain Dragon's Pain from purification too, you cannot gift that weapon to support pawns

Thanks Paradox for the info. I did a little foray into Bitterblack when I was still using Signs of Valor, it was a little rough. Hopefully with the Dragon's Vein I'll have it a little easier searching for those Framae Blades you mentioned. Thanks again. :)

If you are already in Everfall, may as well try for Heaven's Key. Helps with Ur-dragon and some physical immunee/ holy-weak enemies. That weapon will probably be worth a consideration being the best weapon before Capcom came out with Dark Arisen.

鬼神刀手, thanks for the suggestion. I just looked up the Heaven's Key daggers and will definitely try to get them from the Ur-dragon (haven't found him yet but most likely will soon enough). From the looks of it the Framae Blades will probably deliver higher damage for my character, since I leveled strength a lot and unlocked the appropriate augments. But Heaven's Key will be my luxury sideweapon. Well to be honest, I would be happy to get any of those two weapons, RNG does not treat me very well. :)

Heaven's Key is arguably a more versatile dagger than Framae Blades though, especially when facing spectral opponents. I generally swap between the both of them when in BBI to deal with various mobs. And I personally think that Heaven's Key looks way better than the Framae Blades

I've another weapon to recommend if your pawn is a Ranger. The Dragon's Glaze.
The ice affinity seem to freeze enemies such as Eliminator and deal damage to the 2nd phase of Living Armor, So with Holy/ Ice Affinity magic baed will form 5:4 and 9:4 damage on a maxed Warrior-levelled pawn. Roughly 2.5k attack power +/- abit depends on what Augment you use. Since the Wights will be airborne, you won't worry about low output from the daggers. You can practically solo the whole game and the only enemy you can't kill are those pesky Spectres. But remove the Dragon Glaze when fighting Ur-dragon.
I can give you the Heaven's Key but you'd have to dragon forge it.
