Solar Providence archistaff will not upgrade?

My sorcerer has the Solar Providence archistaff. She also has more than 15 sunbright, and has over 10 million gold. However, the Solar Providence will not upgrade to three stars. Any ideas why not? My sorcerer is currently only rank 5. Is that why?

I will answer my own question. As soon as I hit rank 6, I was able to upgrade the archistaff.

She must have had a rich benefactor to have all those goodies at such a young and tender age...

She is level 116, not all that young and tender.

I am just starting the series again myself. Couldn't get myself to continue when RJ died, but now keen to toss the dice again

When RJ died, he left copious notes, and talked extensively to his wife while he was in the hospital. She communicated his plans and thoughts to Sanderson. After reading about 2000 pages from Sanderson, my opinion is that he did a solid job of taking over. After I was a few hundred pages into book 12, I didn't even notice that it wasn't RJ.
