The Hero achievement (Solved)
I did every single quest on the list, it was also on the same playthrough. Even though I have played through the game something like 4 times now. I did this to get the last achievement i needed before the The Sprinter achievement for the speedrun.

I'm rather annoyed that it didn't unlock, after all that safety checking and all that time to finish that achievement -_- nothing. Anyone else had this happen ?

(update) Was missing this quest: Mettle against metal

I got it on my first playthrough a few days a go so it's working, I just made sure I did everything in this guide: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=600969749

It popped up as soon as I used godsbane on the last mission.

Did you do Search Party? (Reynard quest)
Just asking because I thought I had done them all, just to notice that Search Party
wasn't done.

Oh, and a tip.
Open the History, and compare the completed questlist there (the one with dates)
with the ones required for the achievement.
If one is missing, that would be the one you'd need to do.

It's annoying to admit but you likely missed one stupid quest. I had that happen to me before on console when I reached the everfall and realized I never did the ecort quest for Quina (to prayer falls). Missing that ment I missed out on other quests from here (and all because one of her quests was a notice board quest instead of an in-person/speak-to-me quest).

Escort quests don't count.

Valmiro's quests are easy to miss.
Paradox Aug 4, 2016 @ 12:16pm
The easiest to miss is likely "Mettle Against Metal" where you have to kill the Metal Golem that only spawns after leaving and reentering Witchwood upon completion of Witch Hunt.

Yes, that one or Search Party..for similar reasons. You'll have to do alot of
separate purchases to even get the Search Party quest.
Mettle against metal because you apparently have to exit witchwood without using the
ferrystone
, then reenter and get to the right location.

Me too, or so I thought. Until I compared it to the questlist in History.
Try to do the same.

If one is missing, do i have to do every single quest all over again on the new game + ?

As long as you've done all the required quests, even if it is in the span of several
playthroughs (but not "new game") it counts toward the achievement.

If one is missing for that savegame, you'd only have to do the missing quest.

That means you'll have to do the main quest up to and including Witch hunt, exit witchwood on foot, then reenter..and go to where the strange stones (aka golem) is.

Glad to see my guess was on point :steamhappy:

I usually ferrystone out after Witch Hunt and return a day or so later. The Metal Golem always spawns without fail when I do this.

If they've fixed it, nice.

I was basing it on the wikia's comment "Mettle Against Metal becomes available if the Arisen uses one of the exits to leave the Witchwood and subsequently returns."
