Sacrificing Pawn Skills?
I was saddend to find MAgic Archer has skills that sacrifice pawns in order to gain the effect. That brings the whole class down. I'm aware that we don't have to choose those skills, but there could have been better skills there instead (and one of them is the so-called "Ultimate", as if that is the epitomy of a Magic Archer. If Capcom ever does create a DD2, I hope they consider removing sacrificial skills - who wants to run around with crew missing? Doesn't take away from the awesomeness of the game, but annoying nonetheless.

"who wants to run around with crew missing?"
Many..
Not only that, but the game rewards you in some ways for having fewer pawns than
you can, or have one or more pawns with a lower level than yourself.
More experience++.

Isnt that something you can do without it being assigned as a skill (killing a pawn for extra power). And that isnt the point of my post, the point is having a skill that could have been something more beneficial. If I want less pawns I'll just not commission a full group - I don't need to kill off pawns for that reason.

So whats your point exactly?

You don't like that skill, fine for you. But, what about the gazillion others who pick that skill because it suits their build? Whats wrong with you guys demanding that the game has to be centered around you and no one else?

I tend to agree with the OP that Great Sacrifice is mostly a waste of a skill slot seeing as it is a highly situational skill with limited uses. That being said, a properly built or well geared MA is powerful enough as is without the need of further buffs to the vocation.

And as to the OP's point about it being an ultimate skill, it would be prudent to note that the most useful skills in the game are rarely the Rank 8/9 ones. For instance, the Kisses line of skills and their Flurry counterparts are likely the most used physical based skills in the game and neither are even close to Rank 9 skills.
