i haven't played it very much, but i think there are better classes. you can definitely make it work though.
yea, the biggest i've seen is like the zweihander from dark souls. i haven't seen any quite as fat as the buster tho
They aren't easily made amazing as pawns since a pawn with low or moderate bestiary knowledge won't know when to use it's charge skills (the majority of it's skills are charge based) and will often miss fast things like woves and goblins. But a well knowledgable warrior pawn (or if you're playing it yourself) will be able to use a mix of their faster (instant) skills and save those massive damage charge skills for large bosses and monsters that have fallen over or are pinned to the ground/wall.
If you're looking for a technique to use for the warrior, i'd recomend Escape Slash, which upgrades into Exodus Slash. It's a fast back-step with good i-frames and lots of damage from a multi-hit combo that has massive knock-down ability. This is the only way to be defensive with the warrior since the class has no way to block or evade attacks with a skill like the evade role for dagger users (something that really helps this game feel more souls like when fighting in BBI).
One down side to the warrior is they are restricted to equiping only 3 weapon skills instead of 6 (like the mage who also only has one weapon). The reason for this is they only have 6 or 7 skills in total and it would be very boring to have everything useful equiped instead of having to weigh your options in limited slots. They probably could have made more skills though, such as being the first game to actually use "Half Swording" techniques and give the warrior more agile abilities with that.
(Half Swording is a greatsword technique in which the top hand is grasping the lower portion of the blade so as to allow more manuverability and better defense with certain counter manuvers made open for use because of the way you deflect while half swording. The Zweihander is most easily identified for use of this in Dark Souls by it's blunt section just above the hilt, with the blunt section ending where two short spikes jut out from the lower portion of the blade [which is where the actual sharp portion of the blade historicly begins on a sword like that]. Even if a blade didn't have a blunted section like that, halfswording is still viable since most sword fighters will be wearing gloves which will prevent cuts from grabing the blade. Even when bare handed, the lowest part of the blade is normally very dule and you could still use the technique that way.)
Here's some good lokking warriors.
