Do expired escort quests show up later?

Because i've got this RPG habbit of talking to each and every NPC out there till they have nothing more to say. I spoke to lots of them in Cassardis and i got 4 escorts all of a sudden. I completed 2, but missed the remaining half. If i go back to the NPC, talk and/or gift him will said escort quest be put back on the notice board?

Yes, they will. You can even return the quest after accepting it to the same noticeboard from which it was acquired, then raise the person's affinity later to have it offered again.


The exception is Ser Mercedes. She has a rather small window of opportunity due to specific dialog requirements in certain quests.

Escort quests don't expire. Their avaiblity is based on your afinity with the characters that offer them. So if you notice escort quests vanishing from the notice boards, just get your affinity up with those characters and the quests will reappear

I'm kind of curious if these quests can be retaken if the person you are escorting dies or you cancelt the quest part way through. I've heard that killed characters will respawn at your house after some time passes but I've never tested this with escort quests.

If an escort quest is returned to the notice board it came from, affinity can be raised again and the quest will be re-offered.

If the NPC is killed, the quest is then unavailable until the next playthrough... and affinity takes a substantial hit.
