Just exit the city through south gate and head to the left where oxes are,
follow all the way to the sea [not far], you'll see a big rock in the water...
jump onto it...you'll see a chest there. It contains Common Archistaff
Easy.Fast.Free
1. You slay three cyclops in the quest for "put out the eye" and recieve Aneled Horns.
2. Loot a chest in the Water Gods Alter for Grevious Horns (the chest next to the bottom of the ladder the leads to the room full of sarians guarding an anchient lever).
3. Loot a chest in Witch Woof for a Common Archstaff (the chest in front of a mist orb, where wolves spawn, at the far end of the river).
I prefer the place I posted above, cos' it's simply safer
+
until level 10 I don't need it anyways and that's exactly the level I arive to Gran Soren
Can be done before making your pawn, too
+
There's one more spot with Common Archstaff in the chest behind the abbey
[which also can be obtained as soon as you depart from Cassardis]
+
Finally, you can get Solar Numen from one of sarcafagus near Greatwall Encampment
[the place where Wight summons skeletons at night] also possible before creating your pawn
*update* you're aparently playing on normal and not bothing to do much combat or many quests. normal mode for someone that does a lot of that stuff wil lbe well above level 10 by the time they reach gran soren and on hard mode you'll have leel 10 before you even fight the hydra (if you're doing quests). People can't wait till the great wall or gran soren if they play on hard mode or do lots of exploration and combat.

Even if you were trying to squeeze as much damage as you can out of a class, 90 attack power is not worth the loss of 450 maximum health since per-hit damage caps out with most sorc abilities just using BBI weapons (even without augments). Even at it's more probable end (level 30 before entering Gran Soren), you would have 100 more health at the loss of 20 magic attack. This would put you at a higher maximum health and help ensure that you are less likely to be 1-shot as you progress through the game. Doubly true for pawns since they're revived at half health; a sorc that gets 1 or 2-shot easily is a sorc that doesn't make much use of any of its magic attack.
In Dark Arisen, there is simply no reason to attempt to min-max your stats like this, and especially early on, it becomes more useful to get the vocation ranks in the base classes for augments that can be used in the advanced classes. The weapons usable by base classes, which are available in easily reached places or in towns, are also generally more useful in the early parts of the game (fire/lightning) enchant. Just complete the quests, don't worry about what class you happen to be as stat builds really don't matter after a point. Even for sake of trying to get your pawn hired within a certain level range, people are more likely to pick up your pawn because you have skills and equipment that is relevant to the content they are at, rather than what base stats your pawn has. The game is simply designed around playing multiple classes and doesn't penalize you much even if you go from a melee focus to a magic focus half-way through.
