How are these augments for Fighter/Warrior?
I'm currently in post-game. Been there a while now. Level 95. Often switch between these two vocations. Vehemence, Sinew, Clout, Eminence, Acuity, and Ferocity.

I'd probably swap in Bastion...

I respectfully disagree-- Awareness instead of Bastion. Fighter/Warrior leveling has significantly lesser MDEF growth, so if one is in need of additional defense boosting, MDEF is the way to go. Good armor and good tactical play will take care of any DEF.

That said, for a L95, good armor and good tactical play will offset most of the benefit from the straight damage reduction of Bastion and/or Awareness anyway. IMO, these two augments benefit a lower-leveled character with lesser quality armor better.
I didn't level as a straight physical class. 1-10 was mage, 11-35 sorcerer, and then 35 to I think 50 was assassin, and fighter/warrior since then. My original intent was to play as a Magick Archer by around level 60 or so, but I ended up not liking it. I should have better than normal MDEF as a Fighter/Warrior. I don't know by how much, though.

Yeah, that leveling pattern would have given you excellent MDEF, however, no mention was made of it at the time, so I assumed you'd been playing mostly Fighter/Warrior up until then.

Which goes to show just how subjective and individual good augment choices can be.

I'd say that's pretty good. I'm curious how Eminance is working for you. I've never been one for lots of jump attacks outside of Helm Splitter. I know that jump attacks are one of the best DPS attacks for warrios though I havn't spent much time as one. I'm curious of your play style.

My favorite augments for fighter and warrior are these.

Fighter
Augment - Sinew(Ft)/Vehemence(Ft)/Clout(Wr)/Proficiency(Wr)/Apotropaism(Ma)/Awareness(So)

Warrior
Augment - Sinew(Ft)/Ferocity(Wr)/Temerity(Wr)/Clout(Wr)/Proficiency(Wr)/Acuity(so)

I agree with Kara. As a dedicated Warrior player I can asure you that DEF is not that vital
for melee classes, cos' almost all of them have skills with i-frames [Exodus Slash for Warrior, Dragon's Maw for Fighter, Full Moon Slash for other Sword weilding vocations].

MDEF however is an issue for Warrior, although I must say that Awareness only shines
in the main game...but on BBI - not so much, so I usually switch this augment slot for something more useful and rely on my reaction, cos' most of the time magic is pretty easy to avoid, when you see it coming

Also I want to add, that just as in the times of PS 3 release I still think that Sinew is NOT a must have skill, unless you're playing solo or with your main pawn only, so I tend to go for more offensive set-ups...but oh well

Thanks guys. :D

Wellllll.... Sinew's valuable for two additional reasons other than the obvious one of raising carry capacity and encumbrance levels-- and that's increased movement speed and better stamina consumption rates, which has a positive effect on the character's ability to maintain offense/combat. Sinew also very conveniently stacks with the carry capacity enchantments of the Trophy Armor (though Trophy armor is not available to Fighters or Warriors) and L3 boots/greaves.

Therefore I say with my best weaselly and o so innocent smile that Sinew is indeed arguably an augment with benefits to offense.

@Kara

I know. That's why I haven't said it's useless.
I just said it's not a must have skill, which I'm convinced is true.

If IMO there are augments that are more beneficial on Arisen

Oh well, to each his/her own
