So i let myself fall and eventually it looped back to the top and then i got where I was supposed to get to.. then the story took a real nosedive but oh well lol

There are still main quests to complete, everfall is more like an endless dungeon... that is pointless to do when you have BBI.
And let's be honest, story in this game is falling from the start at the end you just notice it better because you do that as well.

Story has a somewhat interesting premise...and that's it. It was always bad.
