Question about the No Honor Among Thieves quest
I've seen that you need a party of all females (and dress in drag whenever needed in order to seem female) in order to get the Thick as Thieves quest from the misandrist female thieves.

The question is, for the opposing quest from the opposing thief band, do you need a party of all dudes? If so, is there a piece of equipment my very female main pawn can wear to fool them?

No, the male band of thieves aren't sexist. You can deal with them as either a male or female. Just be sure that you don't attack any of the bandits after entering the ruins and you'll be fine.

gotcha, thanks
and you can also only do one version of the quest per playthrough so remember what you chose if you want 3rd star. feed cyclops or slay bandits, tell pike to return or slay bandits. best don't touch the version you don't want.

Not true actually, you can get both badges on a single playthrough.
but you have 2 ways to solve each of those quests (so 4 ways alltogether) and game only registers one per quest and playthrough so there's no way to get beyond 2star in both quests in one playthrough. that's what i meant.

If someone rents your pawn and finishes one of those quests with a different ending then you're pawn will return with that knowledge and get the final star for them.
strangely, i read it on the wikia and it was true all the time, but now i got 3 stars in one go, for the thick as thieves quest, maybe because he already knew that they don't talk to men, was put in a lady's garb & had a slight beard (didn't matter). received 3 stars asap though i only did the kill the bandits part. maybe, though, he watched someone feed the cyclops, which technically is another quest i believe, don't know for sure. he had no prior knowledge of that quest at all (was not listed).

Okay, I tried to talk to the male bandit leader, and he just aggro'd. I don't have the grimoire quest (completed it), is it because I killed some bandits outside the ruined castle?

The line of demarcation for pissing off Maul and his merry band is the one stationed at the door into the first courtyard of the keep. You can kill anyone outside up to that one guard, who will actually talk to you if you initiate conversation. Out where the trees are, no, they're just bandits.

That said, if you set up a portcrystal anywhere within the boundaries of the ruined keep and fast travel to it, that also instantly pisses them all off.

Must be why I've never had a problem. I always entered through the front and set portcrystals near Witchwood and the Rest Camp.

The bandits out along the road will attack you regardless... badge or no.

Just want to add, if you have already cleared his quest, Maul & Friends will no longer rage at you for having a portcrystal in their yard and teleporting to it, even if you don't have his badge in your inventory. At least in my game, that is.

Well, it can't be that. The only port crystal I set up is at the camp where you give Reynard the scrap metal. The one right past the mine with all the trolls.

maybe you have completed thick as thieves and are having their badge in your inventory? i read it that you can't do that, they will attack you if you have the opposite's badge in your inventory (can have it in storage, though).

Okay, I can confirm that I tried without the badge in my inventory, and there's no crystal anywhere near them, and they attacked anyways.

I don't have a port crystal anywhere near them, and I don't have the Ophis badge. The guard still attacked me, and the doods inside the castle attacked me.
