Difficulty in getting Oblivion chest peice..
I have purified like 70 bbi lvl 3 armor peices for yellow vocation ( me and my pawn) . Didn't get a single Oblivion chest peice. Is it that hard to get?

That is correct.

There is a red, a blue and a yellow result for each cursed Armor object (there are some exceptions, like Delta Guard and cloaks and a couple of other armor pieces). L3 Weapons are simpler to choose, because unlike L3 Armor, there aren't enchantments and tiers (e.g., Hellfire vs. Traitor, Oblivion vs. Shadow, Carrion vs. Grave).

Red results for L3 weapons have the largest number: Devilsbane, Dread Aspis, Virge of Madness, Diabolic Shield, Bitter End, Devil's Nail

Yellow L3 Weapon: Revenant Wail, Darkening Storm, Blackwing Bow, Framae Blades

Blue L3 Weapon: Sanguine Stalk, Dominion Claw

So as mentioned above, you can choose any one of the red, blue or yellow results for each item, however, if you see a Revenant Wail in the Yellow result, that particular object will never be anything other than a Revenant Wail when purified as Yellow. If what you want is a Darkening Storm or a Blackwing Bow, you'll have to accept it (or change the item to a Blue or Red result) and go find more L3 Weapons in order to try again with a different cursed item.

Throwing away, selling or giving your cursed items to another player will not advance your list. If you do that, your list will be stuck, and you'll repeat the same item unless and until you accept it and pay the RC fee to do so.

Source/location of the cursed item has nothing to do with purification results. Only the position of the list for that particular cursed item within your save file has any bearing on what you'll see.

This is a sample of one player's seeded list:

Just as hard as any piece from the top three armor sets. Carrion, Hellfire and Oblivion pieces are rarer than Grave, Sin and Shadow ones, but within one of the two tiers, any type of armor (gauntlets, boots etc.) has the same chance to come up once purified.

Does beginning a new game plus resets the queued items for purification?

It does not.

My bad luck ..

When I want a very particular piece, I find that I'm more likely to get a variety of results when I purify a large stack rather than one at a time. So there is that...

The Fextralife DDDA wiki is... not particularly well-maintained. The one at fandom.com is significantly better.

Arguably hard. I had numerous Oblivion armor pieces before I got the Shadow armor piece I wanted. The loot list is heavily RNG-ed.

I don't think there's any queued system, and I think some items are very rare, and others are common. My own experience with BBI armors is that almost all lvl 3 armors purify to Blasphemers Cloak. I have gotten two grave items, and a ton of those cloaks. The only shadow item I have was the kill death reward. With weapons, I have always gotten the archistaff, for yellow I one time got framae blades, and many times gotten the Ranger bow (Revenant Wail), and nothing else.

I have read where some people have purified over 100 armor or weapon items and still did not get certain pieces. So I definitely think some items are extremely rare, while some are very common.

Personally, I've given up farming for armors and weapons, it gets tedious killing daimon over and over just so I can get the same two items over and over again. There's no progress whatsoever, and I slaughter everything in the game, anyway.

Yes there's a "queued" system.

When you create a new save, the game makes a list of all items you'll get from purification and give them to you in the exact order of that list, depending on your vocation and your pawn vocation at the moment of said purification.

That's just how it is coded in the game. Try save scumming without changing anything to your vocation and you'll see that no matter how many times you do it, you will always get the exact same results in the exact same order.

Personally I don't go farming daimon only. I farm all armor locations be it midnight helix or forgotten hall or fallen city or daimon.
This way I get riftcrystals also.Still I got all other pieces I wanted but no Oblivion chest piece.
The chest armor I got are shadow ones and that too mostly without enchantments save one which has a restorative effect on pawns nearby.
Godsbaning a chest hundred times sucks. And after wasting one or two hour when I purify 4 armor pieces, It becomes frustrating to see shadow gauntlets again and again.
Armor peices have gotten extremely rare.Lately I am getting a lot of blasphmor cloaks. Daimon loves to give them.

Daimon gives you cursed items. The very same items you get from chests and other enemies.
The only thing that determines hich armor piece you get from purification is your current position on the list. And list is either generated for you ergo RNG-ed, or was RNG-ed and hardcoded into the game. Either way, it's a mess ;)

I am not sure about it. I mean say I had 4 cursed weapons. When I purify them in red say I get the following.
1. Devilsbane
2. Dread aspis
3. Verge of madness
4.Devils nail

This is what I get in yellow.
1. Darkening storm
2. Framae blades
3. Revenant wail
4. Blackwing bow

Say I switch to yellow and purify first weapon. I'll get Darkening storm .
Now I switch to red and purify another . I'll get Dread aspis NOT devilsbane.

Now I switch again to yellow and purify 1 weapon
I'll get Revenant NOT Framae.

So what I think is when we get a cursed weapon , it is individually marked in three categories, like when red , it will give me this result and in yellow it would give that and when blue ,it will give that.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

So, is there a way to get into the code and adjust the list?

No, but you can add any item to your inventory if you know its number.
Mind that if you'll scew something up your save may go bye, bye ;)

They have a failsafe code in there, so if you go adding something, its gonna corrupt your save file. This is implemented to keep folks from cheating.
