Is there a way to cheese Death on BBI?
It'll make my BBI playthrough much less frustrating if there is! Anyone?

Strider, Ranger, or Assassin can use blast arrows and conquerer's periapts. Other vocations can run him off or kill him in one go but require a bit more set up.

Yeah blast arrows, cp's and a liquid vim (to prevent stamina depletion and allow continual firing) really make short work of death.

The knockback is particularly effective allowing the player to stunlock death preventing it escaping by repeated firing of a skill like Tenfold Flurry for example. The bow classes mentioned above that can equip Blast Arrows can wipe the floor with Death.

Note: For this to be effective the player needs a good supply of blast arrows and conquerer's periapts to be carried by the party. It's always a good idea to have a mule pawn in the party if you intend to be a Ranger/Strider running through BBI as blast arrow's are heavy and Tenfold Flurry can burn through them really quickly.

Death will respawn, so be aware that cheesing death won't prevent him from just appearing again.

I always had a pretty easy time using the MK Stone Jungle. Forest might work too. By the time he would recover I'd have another go off and it would knock him back down.

There is an opportunity to defeat death, when you've killed the gazer and have acces to the first shourtcut. If it apears there, you can knock him down above the gap there. This will kill death, although you'll also loose any loot, because you won't be able to reach ti.

There can also spawn an elder ogre, instead, though.

You should've 100% sleeping-resistance with all party-members, when you fight death.

I myself didn't defeat him, too, yet. (But that isn't my priority, I must admit.)

I wonder.
We all know the game's save system, and how it saves necrophagous monsters.
We all know Death likes to escape after losing one healthbar.
Did anyone try to exploit save system against Death yet? I mean like beating it till 3/4 of a healthbar, run away and hide. Save, load, and chip another 3/4 of a healthbar, rinse repeat. I wonder if it'd work or the Death would evacuate after losing track of the player.

Unfortunately, no. Reloading to fight a low-HP Death on the bridge in the Fortress of Rembrance was a quick-leveling exploit on the 360/PS3, but it was patched out in all three of the remasters. If you reload your game for any reason (Arisen death, change your mind about what you did or revive a dead pawn), then Death will always appear with full HP.

This thread is probably dead, by I used Magic Gleam with a Magic Archer and accidently drop him into the pit. Somehow, Death is susceptible to gravity boss...

ranger can cheese with blast arrows I guess.

With Fighter you can but you gotta be on him straight away so he does that lantern-sleep move when he first spots an enemy in range. Doesn't matter if the pawns fall asleep, you just gotta be the first aggro.

Take anti-sleep, 4xstrength periapts and a liquid vim. Then spam that spin move under him. You'll take 1 bar health from him before he can scythe (assuming you're high level).

So he does his lantern move first, then tries to scythe but it will be too late. Do that every time.

You'all talking about blast arrows, but how much attack power I need to deal him good enough damage to consider this tactic? So far I have one bow Dragon's Glaze with decent enough stats, but will it work?

You can buy a couple of tools called conquers perif and just keep those on you till you run into him then pop them all(they stack) combine those with blast arrows and you will do dummy damge. you equip your blast arrows use 3-6 conqs then spam attacks with five fold or ten fold arrrow skill and he dies in like 4 attacks. GG EZ. Knock down is more important then attack power damage is.

The 'easiest' way I found was later on during the saurian sewers where there are a lot of those magic braziers you pay rift crystals to deal tons of damage to enemies for a while. Just lure death to each one and keep him there until the brazier finishes, then move to the next one

Generally keep knocking him down so he doesn't run.
Barbed nails, cursed belt and whatnot will help.

That said, in hard mode keeping him knocked down isn't all that easy on every class even if you're packed with throwblasts.
