Friend can see my pawn but I can't see hers

My gf can see and rent my pawn but I can't see hers. I come up when she filters for her steam friends but she doesn't come up for me. Her connectivity is set to open, her pawn is set to public availability, and she has rested at an inn. I think the next step we might try is for her to just start a brand new playthrough from scratch (after backing up her current one) to see if that helps. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

If she sends your pawn back you can find her pawn in the rift (pawns that main pawn knows option) and add to favorites. With too many friends some pawns can disappear from friend list.

She sent my pawn back with a piece of beast steak and I didn't get it. Super weird. We'll try again later.

Did your gf Main Pawn rest? The Pawn has to rest. Only then the purple progress bar appears.
Also, you cannot acquire rents and items if you won't rest as well - the same rules apply as the above.

Okay this is super weird. So she started a brand new game, overriding her old save file. After she did that, while she was playing the tutorial, I rested and suddenly all the items she was trying to send to me (on the previous playthrough) went through all at once. And suddenly I am able to see her on my friendlist in the game, and I can see her old pawn from her previous playthrough. After she finished killing the hydra at the encampment, she tried summoning my pawn at the rifstone but the "friends" button is greyed out?! Maybe she needs to reach grand soren? IDK

Probably should have just tried this sooner but next time I think we'll try deleting and re-adding eachother as steam friends to see if that fixes it.

We finally got it working. Her new game was started automatically in offline mode, so she set it back to online mode. The weird thing is that she still doesn't show up in my friendlist, but that's okay because now she shows up in contacts that my pawn knows, and I added her pawn to my favorites.
