A Troublesome Tome Glitch?

So I found the grimorie and just for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles decided to use it. I lol'd at the fireballs that came raining down. However the Grimoire got consumed.

The quest did not fail, if I go back to town the quest marker is still active to give the stupid thing back to quest giver....but I no longer have the grimore. What can I do?

You can purchase a forgery from the Black Cat vendor to complete the quest. Or, someone can gift your Pawn another copy of the grimoire.

The quest will auto fail when you start Come to Court.

You can attempt loading a checkpoint save if you dont mind re-running whatever you did since the last time you rested. Otherwise, you'd likely have to wait until New Game+ to attempt the quest again to get the real book.

if you can't reload checkpoint to before you used it, you can't complete the quest unless someone gifts your pawn one. You will fail the quest after youve progressed further in the story and it will be removed from your active quest log
