The actual game starts pretty easy so you could get familiarized with the mechanics.
In Hard Mode however...prepare to be 1shot all the time, especially as Mage - if enemies can get to you naturally, Mage is cheesy but slow and frail.
I'd recommend Normal Mode, if to just get a feel for the game. Some classes are reduced to walking speed when using attacks, which makes you super vulnerable.
Combat in DD is generally much more chaotic than DS style games, and it's easy for something to run up and kill you super fast.
World Difficulty 1.5 is meant for a new game. 2.0 is meant for levels 60/70+.
Easiest way to gain xp and learn ai patterns. Without mods the game stops being a challenge after level 35 unless you deliberately refuse to pay attention to what's going on.
not even factual in the slightest. Gear >>> growth by a factor of literally four. BBI gear is available at level 10, Caxton gold level gear is available from the grove drake, water god altar and any golem from minute one.
The mods are available on the creator's discord - that's where I picked up mine! They should be available on the Nexus in December.
I believe you can find the discord link by searching for World Difficulty (by Lefein) via Reddit. There's some basic instructions on how to request the WD mods to download.
I haven't watched any videos, and don't need to.
Your opinions and apparent level of skill simply don't reflect the game at all.
Less annoying than holding a button down for twenty minutes the same you did the last thirty times for every enemy.
