Mods not working Vortex
Hiii!!

I have installed some mods with Vortez but they are not working. For example, i have downloaded the no carry mod but yet I can only wear 19.78 of weight :S

Anyone know what to do?

Thanks a lot!!

vortex simply virtualizes whatever you have picked. Just like any other game if you picked incompatible mods or mods intended to be installed manually, vortex ain't gonna do ♥♥♥♥.

They were supposed to be used with Vortex, they had the "download with Vortex" option ir something like that

download with the mod manager button is a little tab when you upload a mod. It defaults as on so if you miss it...

This is not a thing with any home ARC mods, and it sure as hell isn't a thing with most Skyrim mods. Marketing their home software is just that, marketing.

My mod sure as hell doesn't work with vortex and most arc edits won't either unless all they touch is textures.

Vortex is just irritating unless you want to use it to swap mods in and out.

Vortex doesn't work for the majority of mods. It simply places mod files into a set virtual folder. It does not merge, or indeed allow you to place assets into folders other than the default one from what I understand.

Mod manually is your answer. And learn to merge:

vortex does the heavy lifting now and it does work, it merges the mods for you now, all you gotta do is watch it and when it says it needs to elevate the action allow it to and your done

one problem you might encounter is a crash when trying to start a new game/hardmode all you need to do is disable the mods, relaunch and get to a point where you can save the game then reenable them.

Vortex does not merge, what it does is try to find conflicts and let you choose which one wins, problem is, some mods come with an ARC file, it will not merge the two mods arc files together, it will pick one, meaning the other mod will either not function at all, or improperly function, you have to extract the arc yourself and merge them manually (Which isnt that hard to learn to do).

The best video i found that teach about arc file merging and explaining what they are

But if you want modify character and augment state (like carry weight) or cheat, just install and read the txt file to see what buttons do.

https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/96

It also doesn't modify arc file so it compatible with other mod.
