2. You can always use one of the speed leveling exploits. But if you want to use someone else's save you will have to assign the sav file to your profile - generally by editing the file to change the user ID number inside.
i see you bro thanks for the info. i dont wanna be like an absolute god at the start so anything with like progress around everfall area (shouldve said that earlier my bad) but cheers dude thx for the input :)
All you need to do is change the file DDDA.sav which should be in this folder:
Steam\userdata\***\367500\remote
Where *** is your account number.
As for the save file, I could give you one for level 200 (either strength or magic built), no problem
If the files aren't encrypted then you should be able to play on borrowed save just like that and this tool is pointless
https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/427
If I'm right you'll get save corruption message ;)
What are you talking about? I changed the save file multiple times between my 2 accounts (and 2 different laptops), and encountered no problems. I anything, the mod is more risky that simply overwriting the file.
So convert .sav into text file with some suitable tool then edit ID to your ID then recompile .sav may work or may not work ( i'm not sure )
But i recommend to start brand new start. it is worth it
Open the text file obtained with notepad++, search for the line with the text: <u64 name="mSteamID" value=""/> (just search for mSteamID)
Enter your steam ID instead of the number written here (you can check it by searching into your original game save, on the same line).
Use DDSaveTool to repack the save then drop it into your save folder.
You can find plenty of save file on nexus, either with maxed level character or a level 1 character but with 100 of all existing item in bank, etc...
Another trick in notepad++, if you dont like the look of the character on that save, search the line containing the word "surgery". It should be followed with the number 0. Replace that 0 by 1, for 1 free character relooking (same as using one "Art of metamorphosis), or -1 for infinite access to the relooking (same as using one "Secret of metamorphosis").
You can also use that method with notepad++ and DDsaveTool to port the look of characters between save.
