Don't kill the Frostwyrm, and don't waste time on wings. Scalp it. Destroy its both horns. Leave the area, go back and try again. Much faster and more effective.
yes yes destroying horns, but still seems like rng is never on my side.
already killing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of these things and no succes, just need to be trying i guess.
sorry mate, no idea what wrym you are talking, i don't know what the vanilla nor the upgraded on are, the information that i saw where to get the scute are from the wiki from DDDA which says the frostwyrm can be found on bbi and that where i'm farming it.
Frostwyrms are the tougher version of Wyrms from the original game, and are only encountered at the Bitterblack Isle, at Sparyard of Scant Mercy before slaying Daimon, and after that there and at Midnight Helix.
Anyway, if you do farm the right ones you must have the case of really bad luck. Scute drops for me at least once per ten horns broken. Usually more often.
i think i'm undestanding now, and i'm on the spiral of madness?? something like that and farming the one that AoE spam ice/death/fire spell, wait, you telling my that's not even one to farm?
Farm the final rotunda
i'm doing that, and that's why i'm level 132 now, and i got from 2 goreciclops a fire dagger.
i was fighting 3 and now every time i enter nothing spawns.
BTW If you are in Midnight Helix https://dragonsdogma.fandom.com/wiki/Midnight_Helix
then you most likely have defeated Daimon and are fighting the right one.
The question is why do you still need Dragon's Ire with all those Moonbeam Gems in your pocket?
https://dragonsdogma.fandom.com/wiki/Moonbeam_Gem
Just open the right storage at Duskmoon Tower and you have your bow.
https://dragonsdogma.fandom.com/wiki/Duskmoon_Tower#Loot
Yes, they stop spawning after entering Bitterblack Sanctum. Will resume after Daimon is dead.
I *think* (please don't quote me on this until I get in-game) that I have some of these. Maybe one or two.
I don't need them (if I *do* have them), so if you'd like, I could hire your pawn then send them back with the scute? Assuming the scute is a giftable item.
When I'm in-game next, I'd be willing to check. I'll reply here with my findings. It won't be until sometime tomorrow, though (or possibly the next day, if certain events keep me away).
