Netflix Show
So i want to buy this game as soon as there is a major steam sale since hopefully ill have some money by then.
So, does the new Netflix Show that goes by "Dragon's Dogma" spoils the story of the game or i'm safe watching the show?

I don't think it does, I do not remember the game ending the same way the TV show does. But it has been about three years since I played.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Well indeed, i have seen the show not being well received but if it ruins the experience of the game might as well skip it.
Thanks for the answers.

I'd argue that the anime is about revenge and the game is so, so much more. I personally do not think watching the show will ruin the game for you. The show is quite shallow and only gives you a glimpse of the world with a sprinkle of this and a sprinkle of that. It never really gets deep or explores much beyond the protagonist's desire for revenge.

If you're able to buy the game during the sale right now, then there is absolutely no reason not too.

As for if watching the Netflix series will spoil anything, while i don't really see it spoiling/ruining the enjoyment of the game for you, the show however does provide the entire prologue and epilogue ark of the game.

While the show has a few familiar faces as an homage to the game(long time players would instantly recognize)all of them have had their names changed so it seems like a completely different timeline. Honestly, i was quite surprised how the show didn't hold back on some of the more mature scenes.

The show seems to get flak by some people, but i quite enjoy it. The game has been out for so long without any signs of a sequel(Hopefully recent leaks turn up true)so having something even if it's just a show is refreshing. Besides, having to cram all that lore into 7 episodes isn't gonna happen.

Bottom line is this : Play the game first, then watch the show. Then judge them for yourself. Don't listen to anyone who says you shouldn't watch this or play that, because that's their opinion.

I did like the show but it does kinda spoil the ending of the game.

I would play the game first.

How can the show ruin anything since it's a prequel and a loose one at that?
P sure you have no idea how DD's world actually works, and possibly the real one either.

Learn to quote and quit being a prententious neckbeard. So stop avoiding the question. How does the show ruin the game in anyway? Of anything it's less a prequel and a parallel world.

I'd quote if we were having a conversation which would imply your opinion would carry weight and it does not.

I've already formed my own opinion and you've done nothing to change any associated context thereof.
