Free OP Pawns
I just started playing the game (been playing a few hrs and reach lvl11). The first time I entered the rift, a lvl 90 fighter and a lvl 33 ranger with crazy items appeared for 0 crystal(or whatever currency that one uses to hire them). From there on, whenever I enter the rift, I mostly see pawns at my lvl, and whenever they're higher than my lvl they cost a decent amount of crystals.

All in all, how did I get those two pawns for free? I don't wanna look at a gift horse in the mouth, but was that some sort of glitch?

friend pawns are free.

Pawns owned by people on your friends list will always be free.

Just keep in mind that:

- Higher level pawns will decrease your own experience gain from enemies that can make some earlier parts more difficult due to being underleveled if you aren't doing additional hunting or sidequests to counteract this.

- Pawns with good equipment can still end up being complete rubbish because of improper skills or inclinations. Level and equipment alone doesn't mean very much if the pawn is not setup well for your intended role.

- Pawns with good equipment, higher level, and proper skills/inclinations can make large portions of the main game laughably trivial. Even a level 30ish pawn with good equipment and proper skills/inclinations can make large portions of the game trivial.

Meaning that if you're wanting a more even experience, it's best to look at a pawn first by skills and inclinations for their intended role... Then look at their level and if their equipment is suitable for their level.
