Outside Watergod's Temple
Dunno if anyone else has noticed it but, on the path south of watergod's temple there's a ledge with a chest, how the funk do you get to it. :I Beaten the game multiple times already on ps3 and on here and started over, never noticed it though. XD

Are you talking about the one above the goblin hide out and cave? You have to double jump or leveltate in the lowest corner to climb up there. It's actually part of the From a Different Sky quests.

You mean the one on the high ledge near the little cave in the area with goblins? One of the Different Sky badges is located on that ledge.

Using Brain Splitter and launching yourself from one of your pawns for extra height is probably the easiest way. I've gotten up there with double vault, but it took a lot of patience getting the leap exactly right.

TY to you both, I actually just got double jump and thought maybe that could do it, didn't even think about it honestly lol.

I got up there but the chest had a two-hander not the quest item, it says 4 are in the first town and the other two are next to the closest entrance of the catacombs

That chest is doesn't have anything good for how hard it is to access. The quest item only appears after you accept the quest.

I accepted all 6 of them and there wasn't anything for me. :I weird

Chests have RNG. You can rest for 7 game days and go back, and see if the respawned chest has what you're looking for. There is no guarantee that chests will cough up items suitable for fulfilling Notice Board quest requirements.

Otherwise, save before you open the chest and reload until you get what you want.

That makes no sense kara. You know the coin for the quest isn't in the chest.

That's because there are more than 6 of those quests. You are limited to only having 6 active quests from a notice board, at a time. Once you've found some, go back to that board and accept more. You'll eventualy get the one that is on that ledge.

I'm talking about items suitable for OTHER notice board requests, which can come from chests. If we're talking only about Different Sky, then chests are of no concern, because the badges never come from chests. That said, very few items that satisfy quest conditions can come from chests-- the vast majority are dropped by enemies or can be quest rewards from other quests. The few quest items that come from chests mostly come out of the Catacomb chests, IIRC.

The Different Sky quest that takes you to that ledge is one of the last ones, like up in the 70s or 90s, IIRC.

Another question, why the hell do explosive arrows NOT explode on griffins whatsoever...what's the point of using something that would obviously help a TON against a flying feathered creature :/ is it a nerf to "balance" or some crap...or is it just me

Blast Arrows explode on impact, regardless of what they hit. So the issue is either that you aren't hitting the Griffin... or the game is being screwy for you.

The problem here probably related to the distance (such as flying overhead), your aim, or that you're trying to hit it once it has already started fleeing. Griffins are the jerks of this game, just accept it and don't bother wasting time trying to hunt them. Griffin armor looks nice but is quickly replaced by others meanwhile nothing else really needs griffin parts to uprgade.

I read the skill for explosive bolts, it's pretty dumb you HAVE to do physical damage to detonate or have them touch it or someone at least touch it...they're more like mine bolts than explosive, explosive makes it sound like you know, they explode after hitting :/ wonder if there's a mod to fix it lol

Wait, so you're using Explosive bolt/Explosive Rivot? Not Blast arrows? I thought you were talking about blast arrows. A cool thing you can do with Explosive Rivot is catch monsters on fire with it. It takes maybe 6 arrows (which is only 2 charges of explosive rivot) but doing this to a gryphon will burn it's wings and keep it from flying. Once it crashes to the ground, run up and smack those burning arrows and watch the damage pile on.
