How do i finish the quest and still keep the 5 ambrosial meats?

Im aware but the wiki hints that you can not give the meats but it doesnt say exactly how.

The alternative method is to use 5 rotten ambrosal meat, put them in airtight flasks to get kept rotten meat, then combine the kept rotten meat with spring watter. This will get you 5 kept ambrosal meat. You can then give the 5 kept meat instead of the fresh meat.

As far as the quest goes, the only way to get it completed without giving the meat is if you never got the meat in the first place by either saying the wrong thing or talking to the guard outside the castle.

I did exactly this: Talked to Julien, asked him for a week worth of supplies, got 5 pieces of meat and then I just sort of... stored them at the Inn :D

Now go talk to Ser Daerio (Or something like that) and tell them about Julien's generosity. He won't prompt you to give him anything, the quest will complete AND his affinity, most likely, rise enough for him to give you his special key.
