The curator of the pinned active pawn thread would be the expert on damage caps. There is a point where higher strength is pointless due to the cap though, which is why I personally do not advocate Min/Max builds.
I know ferocity applies to core skills. This is where I got the cap from: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/626514-dragons-dogma/69456191
My question is, I read somewhere else that ferocity doesn't get included into this cap. Is that true? Because that would make it so that core skill attacks deal even more damage regardless of the cap.
It appears from the comments that it isn't included in the Augment Cap since it boost damage instead of the base stats.
that is wrong. try hitting and enter stats during hit. you will see that number changed for 10%. you just need to enter stats at correct time as it only changes in active part of hit. it is probably easiest to see on dagger or greatsword light attack
the only thing not included in 80% cap is striders innate climbing bonus damage. everything else is. that is the only way to cross 1.8
Oh ok, thank you.
