Uhh i have no clue what happened my weapon randomly dragon forged????

sooo i was making my way back to the capital after doing the seige quest for the duke and my cutless became "dragon forged" what does this mean ive heard there was a dragon around but hadnt encountered it

if a dragon dies in combat and you are near, you get a chance at dragonforging.

You can cause this intentionally in BBI, I use it to dragonforge stuff for low level characters, to keep their level low. (My level 53 mage had to do it to stay that level probably 20 times).

if you go into the midnight helix and kill off the spellcasters (this is all pre-daimon btw) and the gargoyles you are left with one armored gorecyclops. In the midnight helix, across from where you entered there is a hole in the grating with a chest behind it, this is your safe area. Go out into the main chamber and drop a bait meat and a cursed dragon will appear.

once you have all that set up is when the game really begins.

the object of the game is to cause the dragon to unchain the cyclops (you can do it yourself too though), which in turn will hopefully kill the dragon itself, and if you have one a rusty bow is your friend, do NOT shoot the cyclops though.

if the dragon goes up into the air and the cyclops can't reach him then you have to get him down somehow, and thats gonna take more than a rusty bow.

lure both to the opening of the safe area and keep the dragon torpored and the cyclops will cause your gear to dragonforge if you have upgraded it previously, then liftstone out while the gorecyclops rampages.

A bug I guess. There's only one dragonkin in the whole Gransys (before The Final Battle quest) and it does not die just like that. And even if, it's nowhere near the capital. So all my bets are on a bug.
BTW Did the effect survive saving the game, is the Cutlass still dragon forged?

1. Cyclops alway can reach it, unless he gets stuck on the lower catwalk or sumthn (had a situation when he actually just stood there gaping into the wall once)

2. Actually even Rusted Bow can do it. And yes, without Barbed Nails.

The dragon in the woods can sometimes fall in the lake I think.

yes my cutlass survived and i was in the woods by the shadow castle when it happened so i guess the dragon fell in the lake or something idk but thanks for the info
