The two Frostwyrms in BBI
This fight is one of the most poorly designed, unbalanced encounters I have ever encountered in an RPG. That's not an exaggeration. It is absolutely, unequivocally one of the worst things I've come across not just in this game, but any RPG. I absolutely adore this game as a whole, but this one fight is just terrible. It's just a constant spam of AOE magic attacks that do absurd amounts of damage and make it nigh impossible to actually hit the weak spot on either dragon as there's always a death spell on it or some other magic attack that's about to go off right under it.

The one time I managed to beat them out of pure luck, Death showed up and executed my idiot pawns who charged straight into him as he swung.

With that rant being finished, how the ♥♥♥♥ do I actually kill these things without just praying I can successfully spam Thousand Kisses before being obliterated by a lightning bolt?

I'd try obtaining a Golden weapon and silencing them (there are quests for that but mostly Pre-Dragon, and if you ever obtained one you can buy more at the forger Mountebank). Or at least with a Jewel of Silence, or a Mage Pawn with Silentium. Oh, and use Fire on them.
And hey, at least they don't use Maelstrom ;)

The best Golden Weapons are obtained post dragon tho (Golden Rapier, Gryphic Gold...)

That is correct...unless one needs daggers or staff ;)

Also, archer vocations can use Silencer arrows.
1. do enough damage to ovecome the damage threshold and cause reel
2. wait AWAY FROM THEM until they commit to set of spells that have long cast, the usual pattern is Lightning, Ex and then Ice, before and after the ice there will be pauses; damage them.
3. damage them at range while you're waiting for this to happen.

There are rings that can heavily increase your resists to lightning, plus one that stops you (AFAIK) from getting knocked down by levin. I use those when i have to climb daimon as a non-daggers class or with a sub-par build.

As far as how to actually fight, focus on locking down one of the wyrms. Get him staggered and keep staggering him. Most the spells the other one casts can then be tanked or avoided at your leisure. Don't be afraid to use consumables, either.
Failing that, it is a mattter of git gud. Everyone plays a bit different, so you have to figure out what works for you. Of course, if you are playing as a sorc, your only hope is HFB, really. Maybe high levin might have a short enough cast to deal with individual wyrms, but not multiple.

Well, I meant the majority of them. Also, you can always ask anyone to give one to you.

just go warrior and ruin their day

Alternatively, you can just run past them, tap the door, and continue onward, just like with most encounters.

This is true, but I want all the sweet sweet loot.

Oh, then you were fighting for what in particular? Supple Dragon Pelt?
All the other atractive drops requite either slaying different/easier monsters (BBI items, Greatwyrm Stone) or just barely mutilating the FrostWyrm (Bright Azure Scale, Azure Dragon Scale and Frostwyrm Scute drop from horns btw, very sweet glitch).
BTW Supple D. Pelt can drop from say Thunderwyvern at Duskmoon Tower too.

Anyway, keep it up, don't let the frosty reptiles win ;)
I will be the last to say they are easy as they can be challenging for any vocation. I usually play as magick based character, but I think that the physical ranged vocations should have the easiest time with them. The do torpor really quick compared to how long it takes me to silence them. It can usually torpor them in a third of the time with a staff, which means that I can switch to something with a little more power.

I can imagine that a rusted bow and blast arrows will make short work of them.

As a Magick Archer, I have found that the quickest way to deal with them is with the staff and not the Blackwing Bow or Immolation. This tactic applies to Sorcerers, Mages, and Mystic Knight.

Violet ring says it 'offers protection against thundershock'. I've not really tested it myself, but it should stop you from getting knocked down by levin, since most of it's knockdown comes from inflicting thundershock.
rings of purpure and amethyst increase thunder resistance to reduce the damage taken.

Thanks I'll try it out. Daimon 2nd form always knocks me off with this ♥♥♥♥.
