In any other situation, should you encounter him you can:
- lure him down with a shield drum skill or by killing oxen around.
- should he prepare to escape load your pawns and yourself on him
- attack head for a better dps
- setting him on fire, especially wings, works well too.
And no, you don't have to wait with killing him untill Griffin's Bane, I killed plenty of these around Gransys long before it, it's not a problem.
Just remember two, three things actually:
1. When his Health reaches critical level he will escape should you allow him to.
2. He'll also fly away if he'll catch a prey.
3. It tends to go back to his nest (wherever it is) after dusk.
In any of these occurences just leave and come back next day, but mind that he flies around Gransys so, he won't necessarily appear in the same place.
You can do that if you level up enough... But i do not recomend that.. just hit him a few times a let him scape to his nest.
And if you play with a warrior (knight also) go along with a strider or ranger pawn so they can throw arrows to the griffin to make him land.
i dont have to go to tower lmao.
