In case your're wondering about the Nintendo Switch launch

Well, mostly, it looks like the PC version. However, getting pawns from the Rift appears buggy to me. For example, I go into the Rift and search for pawns at my level: I might get a return of like 5 -- yeah, that's right, 5 -- but if I cancel out of that and try again, then I might get something like 70.
Other than pawn recruitment, same same. I certainly would not buy a Switch just because DDDA has been ported.
But I would buy a Switch for Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Now there's a fantastic game.

It's the real thing, for sure. I'm not bright enough to go without an aide, but there's tons of help on the intertubes.

EDIT: perspective: I expect to get a couple of thousand of hours out of it. Got that out of Skyrim, and Zelda is better.

I've been replaying this on Switch too and it's a lot of fun playing handheld. I've also noticed you can't gift items to pawns after you return them.

You mean when you release pawns in the Rift? I've been gifting them ... like a scrag of beast, nothing fancy (don't have anything fancy). The process seems to work though.

I've not tried handheld. I leave the Switch docked and connected to a TV.

What's the point of buying it then, as well as the game, since you have it on PC already? XD

Well, the DDDA port to Switch has turned into a boondoggle. Online service has been down for 3 days. Can still hire pawns from the Rift, but it varies ... 5 hits one time, 100 hits next, all within 10 seconds or so. Plus, these pawns don't seem like real pawns. Their skill sets are just too stupid for a human to have done. Frigor and Frazil on the same mage, and no elemental boons? I don't think so. Then again ... anyway, I'm laundering my "Capcom Sucks!" t-shirt, getting ready for the march on Tokyo.

It's probably new players who've never played this game before and don't know what the ultimate pawn build people with 400+ hours want to clear BBI in 10 minutes.

Anyway, servers down 3 days in a row is a major yikes. 24 hour server outage for any game would be an outrage but 3 days is borderline refund territory
