Can you manually cancel quests?
Hi all,

New community member here. Just wondering if it's possible to remove quests from your "to do" list if you can't complete them? Am referring specifically to "The Secret Admirer" and "From a Different Sky 25", as I can't get Ophis's Badge of Amity due to the accidental death of her beloved cyclops and that pesky Badge of Vows is out of reach for my vocation (Assassin).

Am playing on PS3 - any advice gratefully received.

If a quest can't be completed, due to some reason, then it will automatically fail and be removed from your quest list.
To manually cancel a quest you have to go to the inn/questboard were you took the quest.

If the quest "From a Different Sky 25" is still active in your list, then this means it can still be completed.
Normally everything (NPCs too) will respawn within an ingame week. So you probably just have to wait 7 days to have the cyclops respawn.

Change the vocation of your Arisen, get the skill(s) U need and go get the badge. You might want to look up the badge of vows quests in advance because many become unavailable once you pass certain points in the main story line. Every badge of vows can be obtained but in order to acquire them all you need skills or augments not available to just one vocation. In short, if you can't reach one with the skills or augments you have...get the skill or augment you need.

You can only cancel board escort quest, if you go back to notice board and use it after accepting it. And there isn´t other way how to cancel quest manually other than ignoring it.

OK, I've read on other forums that the cyclops never respawns but will give this a go. Cheers.

1. IIRC the quest should expire after slaying the Dragon? Yeah, I think do just this ;)
2. What do you mean the most versatile of Vocations can't reach this badge? Warrior can reach it and DoubleVaulty Assassin can't?

Ah, so I was taking my info from YouTube videos but DD Wiki does indeed say that Assassins have double vault ability if NOT wielding a sword. Hurrah! Thanks for that. :)

Not only that, you have Double Vault when unarmed too. Ofc you'd have to learn it first (as any dagger Vocation, it's inherited).

That specific cyclops does not respawn until your next playthrough. Alas, one must live with the consequences of one's actions on that one.

Probably too late to reload from a checkpoint save-- but this also runs the risk of setting you back quite a lot of progress depending on when/where that checkpoint save was made.

Ah well, good to have that confirmed. Can I still get the badge by killing the rival bandits, or is it really a case of playing the game again or asking someone here to gift it?

No, Ophis will never forgive you for killing her pet. You'll have to get it either as a gift from another player or go through a second playthrough and complete her quest successfully.

This quest will likely cancel once you get past a certain plot point.
