Yellow Vocations (Strider/Ranger)
Blue Vocations (Mage/Sorcerer)
Hibrid Vocations (Assassin (yellow+red)/Magic Archer(yellow+blue)/ Mystical Knight(red+blue))
You can try going to the Bitter Black Isle early game (as soon as you get your main pawn) and make a run for the chests while avoiding the enemies. You need Rift Crystals to purify cursed stuff though. There's also a key item called Moonbeam Gem that you can get to open some doors that have good items, take a look at wiki if you're interested. I suggest you to watch a video on youtube because you need to gather a few keys to enter certain doors on the Isle.
2. Yellow like the vocation banner, they are colored you know, haven't you notice? Fi Strider and Ranger got yellow banners, while Mage and Sorcerer have blue. Your Magic Archer is a hybrid between the two so...Yellow/Blue. Easy.
3. Gear like "loot"? Go for a trip around Gransys and you'll find some stuff...scattered literally everywhere. And I mean it, the loot can be wherever you can imagine: pots, barrels, graves, boxes, even wood bundle, corpses and chest. Heck, they're even burried in a ground in some places. And you can buy stuff from traders ofc. And if you want to "take it to the next level", visit Bitterblack Island, but as the predecessor have written, prepare for a lots of running...
Before you purify the gear you should make sure your Arisen and main Pawn are both "yellow" vocations (Strider or Ranger). This will make sure you get one of the yellow items on the wiki list. However the exact item you get is down to chance.

If you save before you purify you can reload and try for a red or blue item instead (if you change vocations again), however if you stick with a yellow vocation you will get the same item as before.
e.g. If you purified the gear and got the "Daggerist's ring" it won't change if you reload, but if you change vocation you could get one of the blue or red items on the list. Hope that makes sense!
If you don't get the Magick Bowman's band or ring you'll have to find more unpurified gear.
N.B. If you ask nicely on the forum people may gift you some BBI lvl1 or lvl3 gear which will increase your chances.
Yes, but you want to be a Ranger or Strider (yellow) and change your main pawn to the same. Magick Archer is Yellow/Blue so you may get Sorcerer rings.
Best way to farm BBI Gear Lv. 3 I think is to go to Sparyard of Scant Mercy (it's the room just before Lost City). The two chests on the opposite side of the entrance can both drop Gear Lv. 3 so you can open them/die/reload until you find 2 rings then either kill Daimon or Liftstone out.
Rest 4 days at an inn (not on Bitterblack) to respawn the chests and do it all over again :)
You asked for the best place to get Gears, I answered :p Just wait with them until you get there ;)
until you defeat daimon for the first time your options are very very limited. also certain enemys are crazyly hard to take down at lvl 54. just powerlevel yourself to 100+ via the skeleton warrior spot from the wraith in the maingame. by far fastest method. doesnt even take 1 hour to do as an archer.
i prefer MK for BBI solo runs tough.
Uh, it doesn't actually change the layout of the maps, no?
No. Many of the beasts you meet change and the loot changes but the maps stay the same.
I really would not worry about getting both on a band. When I play as a MA, ninefold shot and ricochet arrows kill about 98% of what needs to die. The only things that I can think of that I would not use those 2 skills are Frostwyrms and the Ur-Dragon. For Frostwyrms you can use Immolation and climb on them or use a staff and cast Comestion. For the Ur-Dragon, I use Hunter bolts for the holy damage. I rarely use the Hunter bolts on anything else.
It's multiplicative so it's actually a bit more than 100%, but it does the exact same thing that Demon's Periapt does (+ give you Magick Defense) so it's a somewhat wasted skill slot imo.
