Gransys 3rd star

So I have a couple rent pawns missing this star. Went to all the areas suggested in this link and no luck.

Miasmic Haunt at night is a common spot people miss along with the abandoned pier next to Gran Soren.
Any suggestions?

Does pre-Dragon Gransys and post-Dragon Gransys influence travel knowledge?

Everything I've read so far says no.

I don't believe so. Most of Gransys does not change due to postgame in terms of landscape overlays; what triggers location knowledge are the 'lines' pawns say as the party passes over them.

These lines are not affected by the talkativity prompt in the Knowledge Chair-- as long as one is triggered by the party passing over it, someone in the party will repeat the line.

I'm just not sure if there are other areas that must be triggered at night. Sure there can be different enemies in spots but that doesn't seem reason enough. Miasmic Haunt the actual environment changes unlike most the other areas mentioned in the above link.

edit. I managed to get one rent pawn's 3rd star but have not triggered the other.

I think you have ~40 areas to hit for the 3* knowledge. Plenty of opportunity to miss stuff left or right.
Typical stuff is indeed miasmic haunt by night, catacomb area with shrooms, hillfigure knoll drawing, the bandit cave in the cursewood and the cliff with the noonflower.
But if some people rush through through the main game for BBI,they might mss all kinds of checkpoints, even the unusual beach at Cassardis.

I never had rented low knowledge pawns i liked enough to trigger their third star Gransys travel knowledge.

I walked the map many times over through different areas at day and night. When it give the third star up it was when a friend was using my pawn and they didn't noticed where it popped in at. I tried walking around the trigger areas over and over and just standing in the locations for hours on end with no results. There is a nice little bug myself and a friend discovered with the knowledge system but I will not post it since the game is being updated again so it doesn't get patched.

Actually when I do this it is for pawns that have all their stars but the 3rd Gransys. I wouldn't even bother if they were filling up their other stars. I've managed to find this star for 4 other pawns in the past. Just have this one rent I haven't been able to trigger.

That 3rd Gransys star has been driving me crazy last night and all day today. I'm giving up on it. Been all over, day and night. Read everything I found by Googling it, and tried all those ideas and suggestions. It's just not worth the aggravation, lol. All my pawn has left (that I'm going to do in my current playthrough) is full exploration of the Blighted Manse and post-dragon Everfall. I'll leave that 3rd Gransys star and hope that she one day picks it up from being hired.

One obvious issue:
Now, my reasoning is, if you got a fog on your map, that's probably not visited part. Do you?
Also: I wonder if Blighted Manse counts to Gransys

The problem with trying to help a hired pawn gain Gransys area knowledge for the 3rd star is that you have no idea what areas the pawn's owner has and hasn't visited, and has or has not been able to get the pawn to comment on the specific area. So unless you take it to 70+ locations, you won't know. Even then you might not know, since if the pawn has already visited that area, they most likely will not make the comment again.

There's some interesting conjecture in that thread regarding what it takes to get the 3rd star. There's also a partial list of location triggers, although it's not limited to outdoor Gransys.

I wish I had some suggestions for you. As it is, I've been everywhere I can think of and read about, and still can't get that 3rd star...

I've just got informed that a Pawn I was hiring got 3* Gransys knowledge, but the Pawn info still shows 2*. Also, I was relly pissed I wasn't able to get the 2* Griffins knowledge...which appeared he actually got from me. IOW Maybe it's just some bug.

when the pawns owner rests, they get their stars, but they don't actually update until they rest again.
