Cant continue questline

My entire quest log just reset current and completed are gone. Im on the Honor and Treachery quest. I went to the waycastle and nothing happened. I cant find Aldous in the castle to try and get the quest again. He isnt in his office or in the throne room. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Did you try crossing the bridge at the waycastle? Something is supposed to happen there.

I did but nothing happened. I dont have a quest marker anymore either. I ran on foot all the way from Gran Soren to Cassardis and nothing happened. All of the quests I had were removed from my quest log I had to pick them all up from the boards again. My current quest log was empty and my completed quest log was empty. I was going to try and pick the main story line quest up again but I cant find aldous because he isnt in the dukes castle anymore.

Try looking through the castle at different times during the day, Aldous is usually wandering about on the second floor if he's not standing near the throne. Sleeping at an Inn a few times sometimes helps too when an NPC appears to be missing.

Also, I see you've got 40hrs in the game so you may already know this, but if you can't find a fix for this issue, try switching to Hard Mode. It'll reset your story progression, but leaves your inventory and level intact. Then just switch back to normal/easy and run back to where you were.
Edit: To clarify, i just meant you speed through the quests back to where you are after switching to Hard Mode and back, not the gamemode "Speedrun"

Thank you Ill try that. I havent done anything with hardmode or the speedrun. Ive waited in the castle for an entire in game day hoping he would walk up but he never did. He isn't in his office or by the throne. The duke isnt in the castle either.
